Well if we're going by the pairs it was always one type having weaknesses to the other. Also if it was flying then it would be the first monotype flying type save arceus. Anyhow if it would be normal the second would have to be fighting, and if it were flying it would have to be rock.

To be honest I think it's normal type, despite the name.

I was thinking that so far each new eeveelution introduced has used an evolve method that is newly introduced in that game (e.g. happiness evolution or location specific evolution) so I reckon that means we're in for a new way of evolving.
