I just found it quite funny, thats all.

Most episodes carry the basic idea. Ash and co travelling round somewhere, confront a problem and have a Pokémon battle. Not very much diversity.

Even so, I would say my favourite episode is when Ash and co meet this old man who makes Shuckle juice.

I have only ever used the Gameshark to get a level 10 Mew and Shiny Celebi

Thats Nintendo for you, trying to milk the Pokémon franchise Pretty much like they did with Crystal. Its to make the gap between each generation of Pokémon games seem smaller.
