Uh...totally off-topic from what I can see.

I think the word "spam" as in rubbish messages and the food Spam is releated, because most people hate the food Spam and think it's rubbish, so they dubbed rubbish messages they didn't like as spam too. Well, that's my theory anyway

spam is the meat kind, while SPAM, (most words like USA do the same) means stupid pointless annoying messages. Wait.... why not use SPARM Stupid pointless annoying rubbish messages
