Just by seeing the trailer on TV, What Rating do you think the Film "White Noise" Would recive?

What ever rating it gets I'm so not gonna see it, I know I'll be getting nightmares for months, if not driven crazy.

Really, all I did was go to Wikipedia and search for movie ratings and I found that UK's ratings were what you posted. 14A is a rating used by Canada's province BC's movie rating system. If you look at my profile you would know I live in the Vancouver aera

here In the UK the BBFC use

U - Universal suitable for all

PG - Parental Guidence - General, parent's preview the movie to judge if it's suitable for their kids to watch. Parental Discression.

12A - 12 & Above can go on their own. But Under 12 year olds MUST have an Adult with them (used to be just 12 year olds or older who can see the film)

15 - Only if you're 15 and older

18 - According to British law, Adults @ 18 or older Only

British Columbia- Movie Rating System

* 18 Accompaniment (18A). Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Parents strongly cautioned. Will likely contain explicit violence, frequent coarse language, sexual activity and/or horror.(aka TV's 18+)
* Restricted. No one under the age of 18 may view under any circumstances. Content not suitable for minors. May contain scenes of explicit sex and/or violence. However, the film classification office considers these films to have some artistic, historical, political, educational or scientific merit.(aka TV's 21+
* Adult. No one under 18 may view under any circumstances. May contain explicit sexual scenes and/or violence. However, the classification office considers these films to be tolerable to the community.(aka TV's 666 years or older, kidding!)

British Columbia's rating isn't as strict as it should be. In here movies with bad stuff in it like King Arthur(has nudity) is rated only PG-13! And everywhere else in Canada it's like 18+.

I think White Noise it rated either PG-13 or 18+ depending on what theatre you watch it at. Honestly, anywhere you go the rating system for movies is different, so it's at random.

Wait, does that mean you live in BC? I do find it strange, I was watching Cops yesterday and saw that the US's was TV-14-SLD while ours was PG. Really strange, also Pokemon is rated G here, while it's rated Y7 in US

Yes I do live in BC. Most odd, I find that the U.S has a very different rating system. And here the popular and good animes are rated PG-13 and PG. But the worst they have is blood that's black. o.0

The U.S uses ratings that make it so that the Y means something like "Year" and the number next to it supossed to the age that is reconmended. But I'm still going with my hunch that White Noise is PG-13 or 18+.

me too! Like InuYasha, rated PG. The US stuff is only for Y7, there isin't any other Y's. I'm not sure what InuYasha is rated in the us since Shaw(my cable provider) doesn't have it

It's kinda like the ring, except it's more documental and with an audio tape... here's the link to the site where you can see the trailer, I'm kinda finding it very hard to decribe it. About a man who records an empty silent room, and when he plays it back he hears voices of the departed.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/white_noise/

((Warning: It's very scary, even for a trailer))
