Forum post records
To coincide with the celebration of reaching 90,000 posts and to allow a place for discussion of it, I thought I'd create this topic.
It's been a long time since we last showed some forum statistics, way back with a topic Pikachu90000 created.
Well, here are some forum statistics of interest:
Number of posts: 90033
Posts per day: 49.72
Number of topics: 4587
Topics per day: 2.53
Number of users: 3359
Users per day: 1.86
Board started: 27 May 2003 04:42 pm
Remember The Pika Club has purged its database of members and posts before and continues to actively purge the newbies forum, so the total amounts would actually be higher.
On the topic of some more recent stats we also have:
There has been 438 users online within the last 24 hours :: 16 Registered, 1 Hidden and 421 Guests
When considered The Pika Club went down a couple days ago, this is not a bad amount. Let's hope it keeps up

Re: Forum post records
When we had a lot of active roleplayers (myself included) on TPC, we'd make 50 posts in an hour on a good day. Maybe we need to get the roleplaying sub-forum more active again? I'm willing to contribute.

Re: Forum post records
I think that's a very good idea. The Pika Club has been more active in the last few days than it has been in a while so now is as good a time as any to try. We managed to get over 100 posts within the last 24 hours. It's not as impressive as TPC at its peak but it's definetely a base we can build upon!

Re: Forum post records
Hmmmmm, I guess I could get my friends on TPC to get the records up, but they might talk about some stuff. You see they don't exactly obey the rules... Heh... I need to choose my friends more wisely.

Re: Forum post records
Some of us don't have a choice with friends. Anyway, it's sort of hard to find people that are still fans of pokemon... What about if we affiliate with other websites, like Serebii?

Re: Forum post records
The problem is time and effort really. People need more motivation to post something, and yes we have badges but that can get dull. Tryadding ribbons when the badges are done, or maybe changing the design of the forum on certain days. Also our icons, the options concerning trainers are a bit limited compared to what I've seen, it might convince people to post more, you'd be surprized what can motivate people.
