I can remember watching the early Manga films like Fist of the North Star but when Pokemon first started I was blown away

it was either digimon or pokemon i don't know which came out first(i know i was either 3 or 4).and i didn't really know what anime was till i started with naruto

For me it was Sailor Moon, I was about 7 I think, I'm not quite sure. Hmm that brings back memories.

They both came out in Japan about the same time, but Pokémon was first outside of Japan.

Well, if my memory serves my right, I think it was Inuyasha. or Shaman King. back when my cousin would stay over at my house and bring over cds of loads of anime. I think those 2 were the only ones that caught my eye among the gazillions of anime she watched.

Either Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, Avatar: The Last Airbender, If any of those are not anime then Pokemon

yeah, they're not anime - Avatar comes closest, but its still a western designed show, not a Japanese one.
