Star Trek
Did anyone see the new Star Trek film? What did they think of it?
I saw it recently having never really seen any Star Trek episodes or films before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's definetely one of those films you need to go see in the cinema, DVD just doesn't do it justice.
Although the film is around 2 hours long it really didn't feel that long, which is a good thing as longer films tend to have a habit of dragging on. The pacing in Star Trek was just right.

Re: Star Trek
i thought it was a really interesting take on the Star Trek franchise, and done in a way that even the most fanatical of trekkie fan can enjoy it as it doesnt overwrite anything that has happened in Star Trek before (hopefully that wasnt to much of a spoiler)
i'm also amazed at how some of the actors managed to look a bit like the original crew did over 40 years ago...
overall - a great film

Re: Star Trek
I like the fact it has pressed a major REEBOOT button to the trek franchise.
New series anyone?

Re: Star Trek
Well I've never actually watched Star Trek on TV but I guess using what was laid down by the latest movie as the base I might be interested. Then again perhaps not, sounds silly but it might lose the sense of 'epic' the movie had if it were transformed into a TV series.Eeveevolve wrote:New series anyone?

Re: Star Trek
could just end up being a series of movies...
then again how cool could a reboot of the other spin off series be if done in the same way as this one?

Re: Star Trek
When the movie first came out I wasn't very interested in Star Trek. Recently however I have been watching re-runs of one of the Star Trek series on BBC America (the series they are showing on BBC is a totally different one than the one the movie is based on), which has gotten me interested in wanting to see the movie.
