Ghostbusters

Post by WhoKnows_WhoCares »

So yeah a new game for this franchise came out and they released the blu-ray version of this movie just recently. So I bought it becauase I happen to have a blu-ray player and its safe to say I am a fan of Ghostbusters... Its hard to believe that the movie is 25 years old... and STILL funny. I was even plesantly suprised watching the full version again as there were a few minor pieces edited out when they show it on TV over here... which is how I've watched the movie for the last few years.

As for the Blu-ray version, it has some good and bad points. It's a 25 year old film, so some parts of it dont hold up well in 1080p widescreen... couple of scenes look a little grainy and most of the stop motion looks VERY shakey (one scene in perticular is laughable because of this) - that said there are effects that are enhanced by HD... When the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man makes his entrance he looks amazing in HD... and i've seen lights, buttons and colours I never noticed before thanks to the HD, so it may have a couple of downsides, but nothing to make it unenjoyable...

So yeah, sort of an unintended mini-review there... but has anybody else seen and really enjoyed Ghostbusters? I was just curious if there was anybody else out there

Hmmmm, Not much to say other than At least they didnt make a Casablanca Blu Ray.
My Mom bought a PS3 Just for the Blu Ray because the Target had no blu rays in stock.
Former Pika Club regular, now life's caught up and things got complicated.
