Any fans out there? I'm a Doctor Who fan, and love the series to bits. Though I miss David Tennant, he was a good Time Lord.

I'm a Who fan as well. Due to my youngish age I only got into the series since the 9th Doctor. Tennant was a great doctor, better that Smith (not saying I don't like the Smith doctor- I do, but he just isn't the same). Eccleston should have stayed being the doctor for just a bit longer because I thought he did a good job and ended to soon.

Actually I'm the same way. I never even knew about it until I saw Tennants first appearance. One thing I've gained from the series is an urge to read the Shadow Proclamation that he brings up when trying to convince invaders to leave Earth alone.

You know something I've noticed. Doctor who fans don't have a name. MLP has Brony & Pegasisters. Pokémon fans are Pokémon Trainers, Breeders and Rangers. Digimon fans are Digidestined. So what are we?

I heard of Whovians just recently actually (within the last 12-18 monthes). It was one of the Doctor Who specials that talked about the monsters, companions, or etc. I have never heard anyone in person or over the web use this term, unlike the term Trekie.

i've seen it used several times for merchandice along with some specialist Doctor Who Sites, and from a few "famous" Dr Who fans - as i say, the term has been around for a little while, its just not really used much. Where as Trekies are all over the galaxy, proudly boasting thier fandom, we true Whovians are just like the Doctor, always there, cloacked in shadow and never noticed unless you really look.
