battling wild pokemon glitch

on route 27 a pidgey or spearow can't remember which attacks, i kill it and it says go back and it takes me back to route 29, is this a glitch or what?

Someone already had trouble catching those two. Might be a mistake in their coding

Hmm... The same thing happens to me when I use Tackle on Sceptile on a Pidgey that appears on the route before Goldenrod(forgot what it was called ^^; ). It takes me all the way back to Route 29.
