Should The Pika Club have its own IRC channel?

The question is simple really: should The Pika Club have its own IRC channel?

If you don't know what an IRC channel is, it is basically an advanced chat room. It allows you to talk to other people in real time. If the site were to get its own IRC channel I would be up a Java applet on the main website for people who do not have the software required to connect to IRC.
