Gender

This is really screwed. My Chikorita's :Chikorita: gender is unable to be identified. It just has a square with a red circle with a X inside!

It says male when I sold it to you. This has happened before, that was an old Pokemon from Version 2 which I just sold to you because I didn't want to waste 500 bucks on breeding it.
