Which starter Pokemon will you choose when you finally get your hands on HG and SS?

I love Cyndiquil. (Actually, its the only fire starter I like.)

I'm tempted to go with Totodile since I went with him back in Pokémon Gold and I liked Totodile more than the other starters.

I've never used a grass-type starter. I guess I'll use Chikorita.

I don't know who i'll choose - i can't remember who i chose back in the day, could have been cyndiquil... he's easier to beat the first gym with

I'll probably go with Totodile. It'd be good nostalgia anyway, since I chose that in Silver.

I'm Going To Go With Cyndaquil... The Only Reason Is Because I Always Start A Pokemon Game With The Fire Starter.

Usually Because They Are The Only Decent Fire Type In The Whole Game...

True, this has always been a huge pain. Particularly in Ruby/Sapphire, where there were only a handful of new fire Pokémon in the entire game, let alone decent ones.

I don't know why Gamefreak always skimps on the fire types. There are plenty of other decent grass/water Pokémon in most games besides the starter, but never fire. I wonder why.

i find there are better things to take out grass types than fire types anyway... but I agree about the lack of fire types. just look at Diamond and Pearl for fire types... Chimchar or Ponyta - take your pick. At least Platinum threw a couple of extra ones, including my favorite - Houndour... someone i look forward to capturing again in HG/SS... meaning I dont need to start with a Cyndaqil for a good fire type

hoo boy, I'm really stumped on what starter Pokemon to choose.. I love them all, so this is going to be a tough decision for me.

Cyndaquil. Definitely. I usually start with the Fire-type (except on Diamond) anyway, but Cyndaquil is adorable and becomes more awesome as it evolves.
