Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
The Trade Centre will be getting an overhaul since it is way overdue for one in 2.2. Until then unfortunately there is not much you can do unless you specifically set up trades with individual breeders and agree to which gen you wish to trade. I do not intend to implement a block on giving/receiving certain gen Pokémon. You don't so much 'unlock' access to a certain gen as you unlock the means to produce your own Pokémon of that gen.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
I'd like to suggest that the Bag system get a slight overhaul, in that it has slots like in the games.
I'd suggest a slot for; Berries, Stones, Quest Items, Important Items, Maps, and an Other section for things like Time Pass'. If you add any new items that can be grouped together you could add a section for them, keeping everything nice and organized.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
No problem, I read somewhere else the trade centre was due for an overhaul. I was just angry enough to post this morning as I tried to get some fair trades up and breathe some life into the trade post with the influx of new players in my rank range, but it came back and bit me in the behind unfortunatly. Forum threads are probably the best way to go in the interim.Pikachu3828 wrote:The Trade Centre will be getting an overhaul since it is way overdue for one in 2.2. The bag system will also be getting an overhaul. I seem to keep saying this a lot, but then I do intend for 2.2 to be a big updateHaru Totetsu wrote:I'd like to suggest that the Bag system get a slight overhaul, in that it has slots like in the games.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
Ok, I have to agree here about the mining chances, I have the advanced mining kit and it's been going every hour for nearly 3 days solid and not one stone or item.
Sevvi day was fine, 8 stones, 2 teeth, 2 eggs and a powder all in 24 hours.
I am almost tempted to report a bug, can anyone else comment on their mining since the last crash?

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
dont know if this has anything to do with it... but i'm 90% sure stones and fossils (when you finally get the kit for that) are only minable on sevi 1
if that makes any difference to your oppinion on mining chances

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
The crash won't have changed anything since the recent problems caused by the crash all relate to the database, and the probability of mining something is calculated within the script itself, which hasn't been altered.
Also WK_WC is correct.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
I'm sure I was getting water stones from the faraway cave in my first couple of weeks but I could be wrong.
I've just re-read the archeological society text and theres only eggs to be found there, and it looks like only eggs to be found in the faraway cave by the item dex?
Although I know I've been getting powders and teeth from somewhere and I only have the advanced kit, so itemdex needs adjusting slightly as it says gold kit.
Guess it's slightly confusing as to what we can expect to get from each kit in each location, maybe we are just expecting too much.
I think someone posted somewhere they were thinking of doing a guide which might come in handy.
We can mine 4 stones I think with the advanced kit, I can't remember without seeing it again. At least I hope we can mine water, fire, leaf and thunder with advanced or else it is impossible to get the gold kit without shopping.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
if memory serves me...
items are available from all locations, and there's a chance you can get any of them from any spot. i also vaugly think that any kit can get said items, but i could be wrong there.
The mainland mining spots (faraway cave and archeology sociaty) can mine up eggs. The choice of what could be in those eggs greatly differs the better the kit you have.
the sevi island spot has stones and, when you get the gold kit, fossils. each better kit allows you to mine all the stones from that kit AND all the stones from the previous kit. So the advance kit can not only get you the fie, water, thunder and grass stones, but also the moon, sun, shiny, dusk and dawn stones as well.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
well... heres a suggestion.
the ability to take pokemon out of the breeding center even though they havent produced an egg yet.
this would be convenient if you realize you needed to breed something else a few minutes later. /shot

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
This may be something minor, but what about clicking on eggs (from your boxes) in order to submit them to the Egg Lottery? Or have some way of organizing them (how are the eggs organized in the Egg Lottery, anyway? In the order in which you acquired them, or how it's ordered in your boxes, or something else?). It can get annoying to exchange all of my party pokemon for eggs in order to single out the one I would like to give away, and can be difficult if I have more than 6 eggs.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
I have a couple thoughts:
The first is just a minor thing: When you are choosing a berry to plant at the Berry Master's House, it would be nice if some kind of tool tip came up when you hovered over a specific berry, letting you know how many of them you have. You can always check back at your Bag to find out what you need more of, of course, but having it right there would be convenient, I think. It might be nice to have a similar note at Diglett Cave, to help prevent you from feeding Diggles the last of a berry.
The second is a little more extensive. Right now, there are not a lot of ways to lose Karma, and (as far as I know) all the ways to lose Karma are based on random luck. I was thinking: Why not have "evil" missions available? The Trainer Union offers missions that raise Karma; who says Team Rocket might not be around offering missions that lower it? That suspicious character that shows up at the Train Station every so often, trading stones for other stones, might have a morally questionable task or two he needs help with. Maybe there's a character somewhere who operates some kind of Pokemon black market, and you can turn over those eggs with "clear markings of ownership" to him before they hatch, for a further drop in Karma. Perhaps Team Magma or Team Aqua have agents in the area, and when you get your Kyogre egg and/or Groudon egg, you might have the option of turning one of them over to the appropriate team instead of keeping it. Handing off something that powerful to zealots like them could reduce your Karma (probably a lot, to compensate for giving up a legendary Pokemon), while keeping it doesn't impact your Karma either way, because you could just as easily just be greedy as you could be protecting the world from crazy folks.
The Karma stuff is all just off the top of my head, of course. I don't know how workable these things actually would be...but I think it would be nice to have a more reliable method of lowering Karma, if that's what you're going for. Besides, adding the various villainous teams would be an interesting way to add other Trainer images: Handing over Kyogre to Team Aqua might make you an honorary member, complete with an Aqua Grunt trainer for your card, for example.

Re: Suggestion Box - Changes to existing AA ideas
Actually that was the plan originally. The trainer union was going to be for the positive karma people while the Axis Union was going to be for the negative Karma - then a 3rd union, the ranger union, was going to be for all the quests we have in the quest log anyway. Unfortunatly due to development time running short, the latter 2 were dropped and the trainer union open to anybody. Since the trainer union is currently planned to be removed completly then i doubt this will be done.Mordecham wrote:The second is a little more extensive.
