Why is Prof Elm in the National Park?

Am I missing something?
He didnt ask me to do anything or give me anything, so why is he there?

he takes a day off, he likes to relax at the park on a wednesday

there is a quest that involves prof oak on sevi 2 island (friday's) - after having a caught certain amount of pokemon (noone knows how many), oak will give you a letter to give to elm when you get your pokedex rated. give that to elm, and the following wednesday, if you talk to him in the national park, he'll give you the berry scanner.

other than that, he's just relaxing - everyone needs to relax

second, if you mean Pikachu3828, the other admin, then I havent been on these forums as long as he has, as evidence by the fact that our join dates are displayed under our avatars - his being May 2003 and mine being April 2006
