Gym Leader Competition
You want another competition to win a cool prize? Well congratulations, this is it. And its one of our bigger ones.
Few people around here will remember when we ran this compeition last, it was back when Diamond and Pearl were being released... thats a long time ago. but now we plan to do it again, bigger, better and with AA related prizes.
So here's how it works. Ever wondered what it would be like to be a gym leader? What kind of Gym would you have? What pokemon would you have? What traps would await trainers in your gym? Well, that's exactly what this competition is all about - You tell us what your Gym would be, and you could win a spot on the new TPC Gym Leader League. Want to see what the last league looked like? Check Here
So lets now talk about the prizes. Well, first of all, the winning 8 get to see thier trainer and badge realised as if they were in the actual games themselves... and maybe you might be able to see your new trainer sprite on your AA breeder card? Oh and we also have a kicking prize for the Best 3 entries over all. We have one of each of the Legendary Dog's to give away. The overall winner will be able to chose any one of Suicune, Entei or Raikou to have, 2nd place will be able to chose between the 2 that are left and 3rd will get the last one. These Pokemon are completly unreleased in the AA at the moment, so this is definatly a cool prize to have.
How to Enter: The following form basically has all the must have information. Failure to provide this information could mean that your entry is disqualified. You dont have to stick to this form though, and you can also add whatever other information you want, but this is the essential stuff we're looking for
Gym Type: What kind of Gym do you run? Is it Grass type, Fire type or Water Type. Dont think you're just limited to those though, we've had an Eeveelution gym before, or maybe you want to base yours of baby pokemon? How about a Fossil Gym? The type you have can be anything at all, as long as there is a common link to it.
Gym Traps/Puzzles: Once inside your Gym, what is a trainer going to face in order to reach you, the leader. Is it going to be a darkened maze you need to stumble through, a thin corridor with trainers either side, or a good old fashioned quiz. It's your gym, so you get do decide how best to challenge those trainers who want to face you.
Gym Leader: Now that we've got the gym taken care off, we need to discuss you as the leader. Since its your gym and you're the gym leader, it'll be your forum username we use for the league, so dont worry about having to think up a name. But we will need to know what you look like, hair, clothes... after all, how can a trainer sprite be made of you if we dont know how you look.
Pokemon: And now for your toughest bit, Your Pokemon. We're going to want all the Pokemon you as the leader will be using. You dont have to have a full 6, you can have as few pokemon as you want if its what fits. You can also have more than one of the same Pokemon if you wish. Do note that having 6 pikachus may hurt your chances of winning, but if you have 2 Pichu, 2 Pikachu and 2 Raichu you'll be fine, especially if they all have different move sets. Dont worry about the Levels, we'll sort that bit out later
Pokemon Moves: We're also going to need thier moves that each Pokemon knows, 4 for each of them. You can use any one that a pokemon can learn leagally in Black/White games, that includes via level, TM/HM, Move Tutor or Breeding. You can include this section with the Pokemon if you like
Badge: You're a gym leader, and when you get beat you give the trainer a badge. So what's the badge you have to give away, what is its name and what does it look like?
And dont forget, if you want to add more information about your gym, go ahead, we're not stopping you
Got all that? awesome, to enter - just reply here with all the information. Dont worry if you dont have it all yet, as long as you've edited in the information by the time the competition closes, you'll be entered into this competition. And dont worry if you want to do a normal gym, but somebody else already entered one, you can enter one yourself... just make it better!
The Rules:
No Comments, this is just for entries. Any comments will be deleted
You may enter more than one gym. Please try to keep one Gym entery per post. Also note that only 1 person can win any 1 spot on the league, so if you enter 6 gyms, only 1 can win (if any do)
Judges Decisions are always final
Any Mandatory Information not edited into a post at the time the competition closes will cause that entry to be disqualified.
Closing Date for entries is Friday, 21st December at 11:59pm as based on the AA server time. We will announce all the winners, including the best 3, by 1st Jan 2013
Good Luck to all who are entering this competition.

Re: Gym Leader Competition
Entering! will edit once I have everything. I will say my gym type will not be themed by type, but rather, the theme shall be gems.
Gym type/theme: Gems/crystals.
Gym leader appearance: Purple hooded zip-up sweater (unzipped), (lighter) purple shirt with a Red gem design on the front center. Goggles with gems as the lenses (much like sableye's eyes, usually worn on the head). Around the neck he wears a purple bandanna. When in battle he would pull this over his mouth to reveal a long sharp toothed grin, as well as pulling the goggles over his eyes. His hair would be the same shade of purple as his shirt in the light, and in the shadows it would appear as the color of his sweater. The pants would be a really dark blue. As for shoes he would be wearing some beat up sneakers. His skin is caucasian and his eyes blue. Most often seen crouching or sitting on the ground. [his outfit is supposed to resemble a sableye]
Gym badge: The outrageous badge http://i46.tinypic.com/149ziwg.png (there's a joke here, I don't think many people would get it.)
Gym layout:
Team:
Pokemon 1: Sableye
Pokemon 2: Starmie
Pokemon 3: Gabite
Pokemon 4: Gigalith
Pokemon 5: Persian
Pokemon 6: Sableye
TM given if won: TM 69, Rock Polish

Re: Gym Leader Competition
- The Pollution Gym
There are some Gyms which specifies in Poison-type but as we know, one is based on ninja skills than pure poison and the other one is the first Gym. In TPC world, a Poison-type Gym is built and Foxamivalth is the Gym Leader. This Gym is located in a huge industrial city where a lot of factories are found. Besides serving as Gym, the Gym building is also the pollution collector of the city. Foxamivalth collects rubbish, sludge, poisonous gas, and pollution from the city to the Gym building to feed his Poison-type Pokemon, and of course to keep the city clean.
Foxamivalth the Gym Leader of the Pollution Gym and all his Pokemon are Poison-type that are specifically designated to inflict poison to whoever dare to challenge him. This young man wears a purple breast plate and shield based on the design of Weezing. He also wields a gas sprayer to spread poisonous gas around his gym, but don't worry about him, he has a gas mask to prevent him getting poisoned. This young man uses 5 Pokemon: Garbodor, Weezing, Muk, Scolipede, and Drapion. Five of them are enough to pollute the whole big city.
Useable Items: Hyper Potion x3
Pokemon:
Garbodor (♀)
Ability: Aftermath | Held Item: Black Sludge
Moves:- Toxic Spikes
Toxic
Venoshock
Gunk Shot
Ability: Levitate | Held Item: Focus Band
Moves:- Destiny Bond
Venoshock
Smokescreen
Explosion
Ability: Poison Touch | Held Item: Black Sludge
Moves:- Fire Punch
Payback
ThunderPunch
Gunk Shot
Ability: Poison Point | Held Item: BrightPowder
Moves:- Megahorn
Earthquake
Double Team
Endeavor
Ability: Sniper | Held Item: Scope Lense
Moves:- Cross Poison
Night Slash
Poison Tail
Aqua Tail
- Toxic Spikes
When you reach the leader, don't ever think Poison-type isn't famous and can't effectively hit your Pokemon. Even you don't have Grass-type Pokemon, that doesn't mean Poison-type isn't a threat. Foxamivalth's first Pokemon is Garbodor the garbage bag. She always begins with Toxic Spikes and Toxic to mess up with your party, once you're poisoned, Venoshock is there to give nightmare. And beware her evil Gunk Shot! Hey, not yet done, Garbodor is waiting for you to touch him so that her Aftermath can horribly take you down.
The second Pokemon, Weezing the floating gas bomb, is a troll here. He will keep using Smokescreen to blind you. She will use Destiny Bond to share the death with you when her health is low. Please note that Weezing is holding Focus Band which may help her endure your hit and leave her with 1 HP, which she will use Destiny Bond effectively. Do knock her down fast or she will use Explosion and bombard you with poison gas.
Muk is the next Pokemon Foxamivalth uses. This one is an offenser which has prepared elemental punches for you. Payback is there to be feared if you don't take him down when attacking him because his slow speed will get his Payback's damage doubled. Beware of Muk's ability - Poison Touch, because everytime he attack you, you may be poisoned.
Then, there is a super fast giant centipede, Scolipede. His Megahorn and Earthquake are his tools to crush you, while Double Team is to troll you if you're poisoned earlier or by touching Scolipede's poisonous skin, and he's holding BrightPowder that can lower your accuracy even worse. With his high speed, Endeavor can bring the foe's HP down fast when Scolipede is in danger.
Last, the bulkiest and strongest of all, Drapion. Watch out for critical hits, Drapion is a Sniper that is guaranteed to kill when critical hit is landed successfully. And with his Scope Lense, critical hit has better chance to be successfully performed. He has Cross Poison, Poison Tail, and Night Slash, 3 STAB moves which have high chance to cause critical hit. His only weakness is Ground-type, but he has prepared an Aqua Tail to wash it clean.
If you can take down all Foxamivalth's Pokemon and defeat him, these are the rewards you receive:
- Plague Badge
TM06: Toxic
7,500

Re: Gym Leader Competition
The type of my gym will be eeveelutions.
The gym layout will be that the first room the challenger goes into will be dim and have 11 doors on the back wall. The door in the middle is the door that leads to the gym leader. The other 10 doors will have random questions about Eevee or its evolutions. Behind each question door there is a girl trainer in a brown shirt, brown shorts, black tennis shoes and and a Eevee hat. These trainers have an Eevee, a Flareon. a Vaporeon, and a Jolteon. If the challenger gets a question wrong they have to battle the trainer behind the door. To open the door to the gym leader, the challenger must answer correctly or battle at each question door.
The hallway behind the middle door is long and slim. The hallway leads to an outside battle area (with an Eevee head painted in the middle of it) that is surround by trees. The challenger can now challenge the gym leader.
The gym leader has short brown hair that she wears down and blue eyes. She is wearing an Eevee hoodie with blue jeans and brown sneakers.
My Pokemon will be
Umbreon ♂
Ability: Inner Focus
Moves:
Quick Attack
Faint Attack
Dark Pulse
Moonlight
Espeon ♀
Ability: Magic Bounce
Moves:
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Psybeam
Swift
Glaceon ♀
Ability: Ice Body
Moves:
Blizzard
Hail
Iron Tail
Aqua Tail
Leafeon ♀
Ability: Chlorophyll
Moves:
Magical Leaf
Dig
Aerial Ace
Giga Drain
My badge is the Eon Badge.
I'll also give the challenger TM27 Return.
I'll edit and finish later.

Re: Gym Leader Competition
Theme:
This entry will be based around members of the fairy egg group.
These pokemon are cutesy, and often underutilized in combat. The goal of this gym is to make trainers realize that just because something looks weak, doesn't mean it is. Make sure you bring plenty of status healing items, or you're going to find yourself in for a bad time.
Layout:
(image pending)
The fairy gym is at first glance a large empty room covered in a glittering cloud except for the entrance and the gym leader, who is visible from the entrance. Attempts to approach her directly however are met by bumping into a wall obscured by the fog.
Following along the wall challengers will discover one of two openings. Each path has different trainers so choose wisely!
As the challenger makes their way through the fairy dust, they'll find it parts in front of them slightly leaving an areal that closes behind them after a few seconds. The dust will also slow them down slightly. As they defeat the gym trainers they'll gain access to switches that activate fans which clear the dust from where they've been.
Individual gym trainers are under the spoiler tags.
Gym Leader Clarissa:
Clarissa is a tan green-eyed young woman with knee-length brown hair in a rather elaborate style. She has a small fluffy fringe, while loose hair frames her face. The remainder is pulled back in a pair of low ponytails, and tied with red elastics. At her upper back the two bunches are pulled together with another red elastic. She also wears a red headband with a pair of fluffy silvery antenna that loop back to the headband. She has a swirl drawn in eyeliner coming from her right eye.
She's clad in a dark red knee-length v-neck a-line dress with french sleeves. The skirt if the dress has a ragged edge. A dark gray cincher and a fluffy silvery gray petticoat preserve its shape. She wears red arm and legwarers with black hems that lace shut. They are tight at the base and flare out as they approach her hands/feet. She wears red sneakers with black soles. Fishnet is on the visible portions of her legs, and on her upper arm down to just above her elbow. On her back are the frames a pair of red fairy wings with black tips held in place by a gray harness. Inside the frames is fishnet.
Clarissa: "I'll show you the power of faith, trust, and pixie dust! Bangarang!"
Pokemon:
♀ Static - Hasty - Light Ball
Double Team, Volt Tackle, Substitute, Thunderbolt
♀ Huge Power - Lonely - Life Orb
Aqua Jet, Double Edge, Toxic, Substitute
♀ Natural Cure - Bold - Leftovers
Substitute, Wish, Toxic, Protect
♀ Cute Charm - Brave - Iron Ball
Gyro Ball, Double Edge, Thunder Wave, Substitute
♀ Hustle - Modest - Shell Bell
Substitute, Aura Sphere, Wish, Protect
♀ Poison Heal - Careful - Toxic Orb

Clarissa: Congrats on the win! Take this badge!
Badge:
Upon completion of the trials and tribulations of the fairy gym, victorious challengers will be presented with the butterfly badge. This badge is of a butterfly with a dark gray body and red wings.
On defeat Clarissa also gives out TM90, Substitute.

Re: Gym Leader Competition
Gym Type: Themed around desert pokemon (those found in areas classified as 'desert' in the games)
Gym Traps/Puzzles: All challenging trainers need to overcome a maze puzzle utilizing quicksand, very similar to Relic Castle in B/W. The trainer must carefully choose which quicksand pit they'll use to descend to the next floor. All wrong paths will force the trainer to take stairs and start the puzzle again. And of course, each 'mistake' pit has a gym trainer awaiting the challenger. Only after descending through the correct pits may the challenger face the leader.
Gym Leader:
Pokemon:
Hippowdon-
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sandstream
Attacks: Earthquake, Stealth Rock, Slack Off, Ice Fang
Cacnea-
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sand Veil
Attacks: Swords Dance, Sucker Punch, Leech Seed, Needle Arm
Krokorok-
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Moxie
Attacks: Earthquake, Crunch, Foul Play, Stone Edge
Siglyph-
Nature: Timid
Ability: Magic Guard
Attacks: Cosmic Power, Psychic, Air Cutter, Roost
Volcarona-
Nature: Bold
Ability: Flame Body
Attacks: quiver dance, bug buzz, silver wind, heat wave
Badge: Oasis Badge
Challenger also obtains TM37: Sandstorm

Re: Gym Leader Competition
Gym Type: Zubat Line
Gym Traps/Puzzles: You're in a dark cave. Before you get flash. You navigate the cave. Every step is plagued by zubat. The gym leader is never in the same location of the gym. You must walk around until you stumble into him. While facing zubat. You're welcome.
Gym Leader: (I attempted spriting, but I'm apparently no good at it) The leader is a small, blonde girl with a zubat hoodie. The arms of the hoodie have 'wings' attached to mimic the pokemon this gym centers around. Pants are baggy with 'fang' designs at the top. Bandages from the knee down end in purple shoes with the fang design mimicked again.
Pokemon:
zubat
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Inner Focus
Attacks: Confuse Ray, bite, wing attack, poison fang
golbat
Nature: Impish
Ability: Inner Focus
Attacks: venoshock, swift, confuse ray, poison fang
crobat
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Inner Focus
Attacks: air slash, poison fang, confuse ray, hyper beam
Badge: You get a badge. Shaped like a zubat. So you can forever remember the best pokemon evur.
(I'm sorry I could NOT resist this idea)
