When I check my Pokédex, it says I have seen 296 Pokémon and caught 98. When I go to have Professor Oak rate it, though, he says I've seen 297 and caught 99. I went through and counted up all the little animated icons in my Pokédex myself, and came up with 98, with agrees with the Pokédex, not Oak.
I don't know if he's just spotting me one, or if maybe my Pokédex failed to register something I caught? Is it possible I have something new in an egg that Oak just somehow knows about already? Does anyone else have this discrepancy?
Professor Oak giving a handicap?
Re: Professor Oak giving a handicap?
That's a known bug. What I heard is that it counts the "0th" Pokemon in your dex as a Pokemon you've had.
