I have just earned the achievement for having both Groundon and Kyroge but have not unlocked it yet (will after this post) and it has appeared on my profile under achievements, is this a bug?
Surely I need to 'unlock!' before it appears on my profile?

No, you only need to unlock it to collect the prize.
