1st Mission Bug

Okay so when i first went to the trainer union, I accepted red's mission to raise the skitty to level 5. I decided to evolve it because it would be nice to have delcatty registered as caught. And he still won't accept the level 8 delcatty. Ive been trying for ages and now I've just decided to give up. actually i decided ages ago. I've had it in my main box, all alone in a box, and in my party and he still won't accept it. Now i can't get all the achievments ;(

He won't accept the Delcatty because he only asked for you to hatch the Skitty, not evolve it. I've devolved your Delcatty back into a Skitty and since it would be unfair to let you keep it, I've downgraded your Pokédex so you've only registered Delcatty as seen. In future only do as the mission says. When giving you the first mission Red specifically states:

Don't trade, sell, release or otherwise give away this Pokémon or you won't be able to complete the mission!

I suppose it didn't specifically state not to evolve it (although it does now) but for future reference the idea is a mission Pokémon isn't yours to do with as you wish.

I wrote in contingency plans in case this happened for most missions but apparently missed this one. Since I'm not in a position to until I get back for Christmas, I'll leave this topic open for now.
