Cannot use shiny stone on female snorunt!

Title, when I try to use the stone it only shows my male snorunt. Upon clicking the male it says "You can't evolve this pokemon this way". The female was in my box and party both times I tried this.

I don't believe that's the right stone. If I remember right, you need a Dawn Stone to evolve a female Snorunt.

Yeah, even then his point actually still stands.

The problem is the way that Evolution stones work. It finds all of the pokemon you have that can evolve by that stone, but it only gives you the option of evolving 1 of each species, not every one you own. This is an unfortunate design flaw that we've been trying to fix for a while now, but havent had much luck with.

The best advice we can give, is to temporarily throw any extra Snorunt that you dont want evolved (or cant evolve) into the ranch or up in a shop at a rediculous price... that way they'll be out of the way and wont be picked for the evolution process.

Leaving this open it is technically a bug, and one we want to fix as soon as we can

Couldn't this be fixed by just making evolution by stone a two-step process? Step one, select the species you want to evolve from a list of species of Pokemon you have that this stone can evolve. Step two, select the specific Pokemon you want to evolve from a list of every member of the species you selected that you own.
