Today when I had a go I won some money, but there was no '+1' like there normally is on every other money situation as I have the perk, mistake or not meant to be??

Due to the way I wrote the script it won't say you got the +1 bonus but you did actually get it, don't worry. Not a bug as such but I can see why it'd be confusing. Changing the way it works would require rewriting quite a large portion of code for a very minor change so I don't think it's worth it, at least for the time being.
