Augment Hacking - bug or weird luck?

The other day the Augment Hacker hacked my green placeholder augment into a blue placeholder augment... I was like..."ok.... maybe a blue one gives stronger augments when hacked.." Well, then he hacked the blue one back to a green placeholder augment... and all the green ones I've given him since then have been hacked into green placeholder augments.... Is he broken or am I just having a run of really strange luck?

The augment hacker can give you any one of eight possible augments regardless of which augment you give him, so the scenario you describe is entirely possible.

Ok, so I'm just having rotten luck then... I did get a Nature Augment from him last night, but now he just gave me back a green placeholder again.... that's 5 now out of 6 lol.
