Harder hunt: Lati@s or one of the legendary dogs?
Which do you think has been the hardest to catch in your opinion: Latios/Latias or one of the legendary dogs?
I think that Latios is the hardest to catch. In the 100+ hours I've played my Emerald version, I have yet to see him. >_>

I'd have to say Latias. She moved around a lot.
I remember the legendary dogs were fairly easy. Suicine you didn't have to stalk around Johto, Entei seemed like it wanted to be caught, and the only hard part in catching Raikou was chasing it all over the region (I speak for myself of course).

The only way I got a Latias is through trading with my friend on D/P. I'm still looking for Latios... Has anyone on TPC caught Latias/Latios?

Well, you can still track it with your pokedex now, right? I envy your situation... The addition of being able to see the pokemon on your mini map in D/P really helped me catch Mespirit and Cressela quickly.

Re: Harder hunt: Lati@s or one of the legendary dogs?
Mesprit and Cresselia were easiest by far [you were able to track them right from the start!].
I didn't think Lati@s was too difficult either though. I'm not really sure why -- I never had much trouble finding or tracking them, the only difficult part was getting them to stay inside the pokeball.
Suicune, Entei, and Raikou were easy to catch [GSC has the Heavy Balls; 8x chance for capture on all three of them!], but difficult to find. [And when you could track them, they would always seem to know where I was going to go and how to avoid me. x-x]

I have, not long after defeating the Elite Four. Yeah, I was lucky.zen wrote:The only way I got a Latias is through trading with my friend on D/P. I'm still looking for Latios... Has anyone on TPC caught Latias/Latios?
Unfortunately I have yet to encounter Mesprit in Pearl. For some odd reason it refuses to show up in my Pokétch.

Oh, Seavicky! I think you need to actually go to the cave where Mesprit is [the one by your hometown].
THEN it runs away, and you search for it.

I haven't had much luck trying to catch either of the legendaries on FR nor Diamond, however I've encountered Latios several times on Ruby, although I did not catch it yet. :-x

Re: Harder hunt: Lati@s or one of the legendary dogs?
Are you sure your on the right screen on the pokétch, seavicky? i only ask because there are two maps of sinnoh on there, one for berries and another one with movable markers on it... and the running pokemon only appear on the marker map... i've also noticed you need to leave it on the screen for about a minute before it starts apearing
as for the original question... its got to be the Dog's. in gold and silver there were 3 dogs roaming about, in crystal there were 2 with one in a stationary postition (suicune was at the top of tin tower, made it easier to catch). In ruby/saphire/emerald only one of the birds is flying around, the other is stationary (if you were lucky enough to get an eon ticket like i was). also in Ruby/sapphire, abilities were introduced, ones that stopped running pokemon running away - which was harder to pull off in gold/silver/crystal
Out of personal experiance, i was able to capture both Latias and Latios easier than the 3 dogs... in fact i never actually caught all 3 dogs, had to have a friend trade for the dex info on Entai, while i caught suicune in Crystal. I've also been able to catch both Mesperit and Cresselia, just for a note.
So yeah, i'd say the dogs were harder to capture.

The hardest for me was lati@s.
They just kept running!
I think I still haven't caught my own Latias, either....
