What's behind Cubone's mask?

Methinks they'll show it, crying for its mother at the top of PokÃƒÂ©mon Tower, in a future animÃƒÂ© feature / movie.

I think it's like this. #1 Cubone looks soo ugly it doesn't want to be seen or #2. Cubone is too shy so he doesn't show his face. I prefer #1 in my opinion.

There is what I think. It looks a lot like Marowak. So it should have a head like a Marowak but a lot smaller.

Yeah good point, but Marowak's head is like Cubone's mask maybe covering its face too.
