Because he didn't let the other Pokemon go out into the world? At least not until the end...

My Goals

On Emerald:

Get at least 6 level 100 Pokemon-In Progress
Catch Kygore, Groudon and Rayquaza without the use of a Masterball-Not Started
Have at least 6 Pokemon as contest champions-Will start after the Elite Four

Uh... no because Mewtwo just wanted to protect them and not let them know that there are clone Pokemon around there.

I don't think he was necessarily mean, just think if you were walking around town. You are the first artificially created person, and your friends are all exact clones of existing people. You'd get alot of unwanted attention, no?
