Quick Question

Post by LordLucario123 »

I've been playing Pokemon for a long time, but I still don't know what is the "EV" thing. Can someone tell me?

Yeah! Your pokemon get EV(s) every time they defeat another pokemon (excluding battle tower and Wi-Fi). Every pokemon has certain EVs that your pokemon earns if you faint it. When you get 4 EVs for a certain stat, that stat gets an extra point. It's a very cool way to getting your pokemon's stats up.

And people with no boyfriend/girlfriend spend their time worrying about these things way too much, and spend most of their days fighting geodudes to get full evs in defense or whatever.

So you're saying that if someone competitively trains Pokemon, they have no life?

I don't do EV training, I just fight in the restaurant to get enough money to buy supplements at the department store. It's easy and then I can do other stuff when I'm bored.

The quickest way to EV train Pokemon isn't so quick at first, but REALLY helps if you plan to EV train several teams. Before you dive into either of my mini-guides, you should read the following which applys to all EV training:

1)Vitamins can only boost a stat up to 100 EVs; this means a maximum of ten can be used on one stat, and that's only if the Pokemon doesn't have any EVs in that stat yet.
2)Every Pokemon can have up to 510 total EVs, and 255 EVs in one stat.
3)The Happiness berries, if the stat has over 100 EVs, will first drop it to 100, then drop it by 10 until they're all gone.
4)The Macho Brace doubles the EVs gained, and so does the Pokerus. The Power items make you gain 4 EVs in the stat for that item, independent of other factors.

THE MUTLTIPLE TEAM WAY

First you have to battle at the Battle Tower until your brains ooze out your ears, and then some, 'cause you have to get all of the Power Items. Each costs I think 48 BP, but they're well worth it; A Power Item + Pokerus + a Pokemon = 10-16 EVs per battle! Then you get yourself Pokerus and lots of money from the Rich kid west of Sunnyshore who only has a Luxio. With the Amulet Coin/Luck Incense, you get $19,600 for fainting one lvl 60 Luxio!!! Then buy the vitamins you need. Pump up your Pokeyman, then finish the training in good training areas.

THE FEW EV TRAINED WAY

Just get a Macho Brace, Pokerus, and lots of money from the Rich kid west of Sunnyshore who has a lone Luxio. With the Amulet Coin/Luck Incense, that's $19,600 per battle! Feed your Pokemon steriods, then finish training in a good battle area.
