Psychic is weak to Bug, Dark and Ghost. So a Fire/Dark Pokemon would be a good choice

Shedinja is Bug/Ghost, not psychic. So it's weaknesses are:
Dark
Ghost
Fire
Flying
Rock

Words cannot describe how good the feeling is when my Agility/Swords Dance Shedinja OWNS an uber team. Kyogre included.

My idea for countering: Parasect! Good Grass moves and Kyogre can't win no matter how high it's specials are raised. Use a stat ailment attack, growth to raise special attack, giga drain for some recovery and damage, and find a recovery move it can learn.
Kyogyre will KILL Parasect with Psychic. If not, ice beam. Before Parasect kills it. There are not much grass moves, Giga drain is the best Parasect can learn. -_- Unless you count in that horrible move Solar beam. XD

Dude... Give Pasect sunny Day!!! Weakens water attacks Plus Solar Beam can be used in one turn!!!!

Who needs solar beam, it sucks! Sunny day just wastes space and since Kyogre is a water PKMN, why would you do that?

PARACECT is the one with sunny day!!! And Solar Beam is the strongest Grass attack: Power: 140 Acracy: 100.

So Parasect would KILL Kyoger... If they are the same level (Well, That means lvl 40 Paracect vs lvl 100 Kyoger, Kyoger would win...)

Parasect isn't that defensive enough to stop a Kyogre. Seriously.

Parasect has base 80 SpDef, which is average. Kyogre has 150 base SpAtt, almost double this, and can easily KO a Parasect in one turn.

And Solarbeam isn't much of a counter either. Remember that it not only takes a turn of charging before attacking, it's half power in the rain. Even if you give Parasect Sunny Day, Kyogre still gets two attacks off before he can even respond.

Shedinja is an effective counter though, since all of Kyogre's moves cannot hurt it, unless you put something like Ancientpower on, or get lucky with Hidden Power.
