What do You think of the New VA's

OMG, What in the world was Pokemon USA INC. thinking..Yes this is the company I do promotional work for myself from time to time, but what I just saw and mostly heard I want to slit my own wrists...My beloved Ash is now a Narutard, He sounds just like Naruto now..I'm not kidding..To save money Poke USA changes all the beloved VA"s we have grown to love and cherish and now they replace them with non talented voice "copycats.. My ears are bleeding so bad right now,hearing my Ash's new voice, like he went through one really bad Puberty in a Ninja School..My god my mom watched this horror along with me and was also like * and she really never heard me do Ash's voice before but I like recited lines after the ripoff did and she was like if they wanted to replace Ash you should have been the voice, and I'm like ya and just so noone else would butcher it I'd do the job for free if Pokemon USA are that bent on saving money..But seriously what sucks for me too is if these voices truly stick now I'm kinda screwed myself, you see I do kids parties as Ash and well I cannot imitate the Naruto sounding Ash even if I could I wouldnt, I have grown to love Veronicas voice take on him, I have changed my voice so I sound exactly like Veronica and I cant do the ripoffs voice what so ever, I swear if kids at my parties are like what happened to your voice I'll be like I had a cold or something duing that episode.But man I wanted to shut off the tape 10 minutes into it, even the animation was choppy, storyline had no thought ito it and to be honest the only voice I approved of was Misty, the rest are * were you thinking..This is my take on worst to what I would approve as far as voice likeness..

Brock-Sounds like a chain smoker at the age of 20
Ash- Is now a Narutard
May-in her 40's Edit: Remember this is a forum for all ages
James- More fruity then usual and dumb sounding
Professor Oak- the voice was on the mark at some points but "NOT" all
Jessie- Way too more Valley Girl then usual
Meowth-Not on the mark but somewhat bearable
Max-Sounded ok but also sounded like Ash's new voice too much
Misty- Only one I think was decent and I'd approve of, this one they at least tried, so to speak.

Now I leave you with these pics to represent my anger and sickness to what has now become my reality,,One thing they had right with this special was..THE TITLE..It truly was a MIRAGE..Only wishing that this Mirage was one I never saw..Wish I could say it was a bad April Fools Joke but that day is over but then again we are still in April..Maybe its a late present to all of us die-hard poke freaks like me from Pokemon USA....
Sorry bout the rant but this pic best represents how I feel on what has been done to Rachael Lillas, Veronica Taylor, Eric Stewart and so on.I wish you guys the best of luck in your Pokemon afterlife but just know that I will be one of your biggest fans of characters you brought to life with creativity and in turn brought them into my life in what I do and although the voices are not the same I will still be a die-hard Pokemon fan after all these years....I just wont watch the Anime as much anymore as my ears will bleed too much...

Oh and I just remembered but darn if I cant find the Pic, I forseen this years ago, Duplica remember last year at Jacon I was Ash and put on your Naruto Headband? Coinsidence heh? Not only that but we were at Jacon this year as this horror aired on tv....DEJA VU?

I watched a clip, the voices are truly puke-inducing. I could get used to the more than most, as I haven't seen the animé much (3 or 4 episodes)

The inflection of her voice and the way it inflects down at the end of phrases. It just makes me think "valley girl."

Well, "the valley" is in California, so I am not surprised you have not heard the term before (so you not ignorant, this is a matter of culture ^__^.v,). Back in the late 80s/early 90s, it was a fad to talk like this:

"Like, Omigosh! I can't believe I, like, totally saw him with her! Gross! Like, gag me with a spoon, and some junk!"

Then the inflection of their voice was weird. These girls were really into fashion and anything trendy. If you have ever seen Tiny Toons, think the girl duck. THAT is valley girl, as well as all the girls in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. The main girls in Clueless are kinda valley girl, too, just not to the extreme of the originals.

When I say May sounds like one, I refer to the inflection in her voice sounding like one.

Hope that explains it...it is hard to explain without actually physically SAYING it. ^^U

I have to said that was one of pokemon lowed moments. Of cousre I was in my hotel room at Jacon, watch it. I want to died. A few days late when I got back home I started talk with my voice coach Kristy (I love her, she an angel) even way we talk about it and we learn the new voices.

Ash - normal play by Veronica Taylor. (Vernoica is a sweet woman, I love her. Yes I met her face to face. I died when i saw her.) was played by Erica Schroeder. You maybe rerember Erica's voice for Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece.

Oh yeah it should be noted that Erica Schroeder also played Max's voice too. The first voice of Max was played by Amy Birnbaum.

Brock- Old voice play Eric Stuart. New voice by Jamie Peacock. He is a new voice-actor.

James also first played by Eric Stuart. Now Bill Timoney. Some of Bill's other voice. Lord Bakemon from Digimon: Digital Monsters and Mr. Sakano from Gravitation.

Jessie - at first Rachel Lillis. Now Diane Stillwell.
Diane Stillwell also did Officer Jenny.

Misty: first off by Rachel Lillis. Now Jessica Calvello. If you see a picture of Jessica Calvello you can understand will you said that about Misty's new voice. Jessica Calvello started voice-acting in 1987 (The year I was born) Gall Force: Destruction voice of Spea. But this well be a shock Jessica Calvello work with pokemon before as the voice of Kay, Raichu Traniner. The boat show one in the orange island Stage something.

May: at first Veronica Taylor. Now Michelle Newman. Michelle did Kojin and Rinpun from Magic Users Club

Professor Yung: voice by Sean Schemmel. But who care. if you do he also played Goku from DragonBall Z years 1999-2001.

Professor Oak: first by Stan Hart. Now Jimmy Zoppi

Mewoth: played by the loved Madeline Blaustein. Now Jimmy Zoppi.

This is a fun story. Jimmy Zoppi as also work what pokemon before. Jimmy Zoppi's other voice are Gary Oak, Grimer, Quagsire, Ratata, Shellder, Todd Snap (Pokemon Phtographer) "Pokémon Paparazzi"; "The Ultimate Test" & "The Breeding Center Secret" and Tomo the Jungle Boy "The Kangsakan Kid"

When is the Predicted season/Year when we'll get the shows with the new voices on in the UK?

I'll always rewatch the previous series with the origional VAs.
