From now on, users cannot create polls by default. Instead, you will first have to join the 'Poll creators' usergoup, which is located within the new Usergroup link found in the forum header. From there, you must request to join the usergroup. Membership should be granted within 24/48 hours. If not please PM me and I will do something about it. After membership has been granted you may create polls. However, if you abuse your poll priveleges your membership will be taken away and you will not be allowed to create polls again.
I would like to add some rules to poll creating also:
- Polls must have a time limit on them. Polls may not be never-ending. Any poll found to be never-ending will be locked and the poll priveleges of the user taken away.
- The maximum length a poll may run for is 100 days.
- The poll must be relevant to the topic.
- The poll's options must be as unambiguous as possible
