As you may or may not be aware of, for the past few weeks some bots have been registering for accounts on The Pika Club solely to place their website link in the website field so search engines will spider it and their rating will go up on search engine results. Many of these websites are often spam or other inappropriate topics. To combat this, some modifications have been made to the registration form so that you may only enter a URL into the website field after you have registered and activated your account. This should not effect users already registered and activated.
To clear out the spam accounts, the database has been purged of all accounts that have not been activated. About 400 accounts in total were deleted. Again, this should not effect you.
The "Registration problems" forum suffers from some spam posts every once in a while, but they are deleted as soon as possible. Spam is something The Pika Club will not tolerate and we are looking into ways to stop the spam there without having to delete the forum, which is a big help for people with legitimate problems.
Remember, if you see any spam report it to a moderator ASAP!
Oh, and a quick note from WhoKnows_WhoCares: Don't bother replying to spam posts, it doesn't help us. Just report them to us in a PM.
