i found this way that you can have a boy with girl colors or a girl with boy

I tried this and it DOES work. Be carful. you'll lose all of your pokemon
in your pc. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Hmm, interesting little glitch. Seems you reset it while it's in the middle of saving the gender and get it to switch palettes.

The video shows this:

Start a save file as a boy. Wander into grass then turns Gameboy off and on
Instead of continue, hit new game and say you are a girl.
Save game as girl BUT turn the Gameboy off as soon as you see "SAVING...DON" Don't let it properly save.
Turn the Gameboy on again and select Continue. Your save file will need the time reset but you will end up where you left off as the boy but with a male coloured female sprite.

You can swap boy and girl to get a female coloured male sprite.

I found something out about it. I tryed it on my gameboy.
1. It may cause your gameboy to freeze ocationly. First time it sent an error, saying the game was ment for gameboy color.
2. If you have any pokemon it your box they get deleted, or swaped, not shor.
3. if you go in to a bug catching contest, the charicter gose back to the normal colors.
