Does anyone own Green/has anyone played it?

I'm curious as to whether anyone has ever played Pokémon Green, or even owns it. I was told a while ago by a friend of mine that some were released in California or somewhere like that, as that is often a testing ground for new products ? Is that true?

I so far do not know anyone that owns it, but I did play it once on a ROM. Which I did delete after 24 h

have it in japanese, and have a direct english rom translation, so its legal. I like what they did with the sprites (except for Mew ) Gengar looks too fat tho =p. Its a really fun game, cause its fun replaying an old game with different sprites =)
