Emerald New Features

Ahhh, one of the new little feautures in Emerald, is that you hae to make some girl be happy by making her laugh... What should I say? I've tried like 20 diff. things, it's annoying!

As of right now, it's unknown as to what you need to say. I hear that it's dependent on your name and ID, but I might be wrong. I hope Nintendo releases this info soon.

The information that's on serebii.net is for the Japanese version. It hasn't been revealed yet in the U.S.

Emerald is already released in US. I have it. Geez don't you know that it was out on April 15th. It's english. In your damn face.

I should have been more specific. I meant to say the procedure for getting the quote you tell the father. Sorry about that. (I knew the game was released, BTW)

Emerald has been in the US since May 1.

anyways there is no way definite way to get the girl to smile yet.

NOA may not make a way for us to get the wall papers since the do tend to leave stuff out of US games that were in the japanese versions of them like Celebi on Crystal version.

possibly but the people at gamefaqs who hack codes for games could not find a way to access the wall papers so the question of their existince in the US versions is still up on debate.

It's unusual to totally take something out of a game, it's more common for developers to just leave the code in there but make it hidden from play. Such as in Crystal, the large PokÃƒÂ©mon Centre in the Japanese version is still actually present in the US version, but just hidden. So it could be entirely possible that the wallpapers do exist somewhere on the US version of Emerald, even if they are not accessable through normal play.

I have Pokemon Emerald and I've gotta say, this really isn't as fun as I thought it would be.

Usually the re-done versions of the two previous games are usually great. Like Red and Blue versions have Yellow version. That was fun. Able to feel like you really were Ash. And Gold and Silver had Crystal. And in those versions, you were able to go to both Jhoto AND Kanto.

But Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald is just kinda a letdown. I mean, there are only like ten Kanto and Jhoto pokemon. The rest are just Hoeon (sp?) pokemon. It's too limited IMO. Sure, adding a crap load of legendarys is fun and all but after you catch those, that's it. You caught em.

But it's still pretty fun. Has great graphics and sound and is really addicting with some of it's new features. Like if you meet two different trainers at the same time, you can have a double battle. And those animations are kinda cool. And the fact that you can get Mew is REALLY cool.

Well, the word is actually just a bunch of gibberish. It is a wierd combination of capital letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. It depends on what your trainer ID is, and there is a different word for each different wallpaper.
