Same here as Secreyes, because I only own Ruby, haven't got Saphire yet, (and still need to retrieve my games, really, from a friend.)
so not everyone knows everything. (For example, everyone should know a human's scientific name, but a friend of mine didn't.)
As for it's usefulness, it has none for me as of now.
