I voted for Crystal version, but if I may make a suggestion to buy any of the PKMN games it would have to be either Ruby or Sapphire they are far more superior than any of the previous PKMN games.

Not really, some oldies are good, but if your saying about the graphics then it's FR/LG. Get Fire Red or Leaf Green!

Basicly get a used game from a game store. I suggest get Stadium 2 if you like mini-games or the G/S/C series.

Bah... Get ALL of them if you can. Originals are just so unique. And then the most advanced ones are really nice looking. And I just can't get enough of the Crystal animations!
