Caught them all?

Post by Pikachu3828 »

Considering the Pokémon motto used to be, "Gotta catch 'em all", I'm curious as to whether anyone here has actually caught them all. I don't mean as much on Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow where I've heard many stories of people having caught them all, but rather Gold/Silver/Crystal and upwards. I've not heard of anybody that has actually caught them all in G/S/C or upwards. I've heard people that have come close, but not entirely complete. I personally haven't managed to catch them all in any game version, though I have come quite close in a few. It's not really a case of not being able to, there's just so many now, along with the legendaries getting more elusive and the tours fewer and fewer.

In the 3rd generation games, I have 383 of 386. I'm still missing Mew, Celebi, and Deoxys.

Wow, how long did that take to achieve? Also, how did you get all the one-off Pokémon not in your version like the fossil that sunk, the other starters and the other Lati*s? Do you have an extra game version to trade to, or friends, or...?

I have Firered, and to get all of them you have to get all the pokemon for your national pokedex. I only have 180 so far. (MUST KEEP TRYING)

I forgot to mention that Sapphire is the version that my Pokedex is near full on.

It took about two years. I literally had to wait for Colosseum and FR/LG to come out to continue working on the Pokedex.

Some of them I got from friends, others I got from the other games. I got Latios for the first time via the Eon Ticket.
