All of the starters are equal but have certain attributes...
Torchic: High attack
Treeko: High speed
Mudkip: High stats in general, and good special attack. but not as high as sceptile's speed or blaziken's attack. Though it does learn some good moves(earthquake, hydro pump, facade, ect.).
I would start out with Mudkip or Torchic to get through the first few gyms easily. Treecko on the other hand which is what I got on my Ruby needs a good water and a good fire and a good flying to go with it.
Where can you find vulpix? I have been all over the hoenn region and I cannot find a vulpix. :onfire: I need vulpix! :onfire: Just kidding. I don't need it exactly but I sure would like it.
yes it appears on mt. pyre. you must go inside after surfing to it then walk around and find a door to go outside and you will see some grass. walk in the grass and you can find a vulpix.
Thanks. But, what do you mean when memory serves? Just wondering. What do the root and claw fossil do? I mean I know that Devon can turn them into pokemon but what do they turn into?
There is some good in this world ,Mr.Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.

What I meant by if memory serves is if I can remember. And depending on what fossil you pick, it will either turn into Anorith or Lileep.
I hated that too cause on the crumbly floor area before getting to rayquaza I always let go of the right button to early or too late but I got it 1 time and got to ray. just keep trying and you will figure out how to get to the next one. took me a hour in total to get to ray. lol.
The best starter pokemon in Ruby would be Mudkip cuz it's good in the first gym,the third gym(if it evolves since it turns into water-ground),the forth gym,AND it's good for team magma! 8) 8-)
Pah, amatuers, I got to the top of Sky Pillar on my 3rd go, within 10 mins of my first try By the way, you need a Mach bike to get up there, don't know whether you knew that or not
