Okay....

So I was planning to be more active this summer.

I've got to change my plans. =P

My family is planning a road trip to Canada. =P I've been spending my time packing and debating over what I should bring and what I shouldn't. So.... You guys probably won't see much of me. >_< I feel sorta bad about that. But.... I need something to do with my summer vacation. Since we'll be passing through Washington, I might drop by Forks. =P

All I know is that we're going to visit my aunt and cousins. Or cousin. The older one is in his second year of college. XP

So....

I wonder what the weather will be like?

Going up Route 101, eh? Weather in Canada largely depends on where you're going, mild and sunny in Vancouver and hotter and hotter as you get into the interior in places like Lytton with temperatures in the high to low 40s. I just hope your family is ready to pay for the $1.50 a litre gas. :lol:

How long are you staying? You make it sound like you'll be there for a couple months. I don't know what it'll be like when you get there, but if you don't have a chance to visit the forums, you should enjoy yourself anyway!
And on an unrelated note...

$1.50 a litre gas

I'm curious enough about that that I'm going to find myself a converter in a few minutes, because, quite frankly, I can't contemplate a gallon/liter (litre!? @_@) comparison in my head.

1 liter = 0.264172 gallons (liquid, US messurments)

1 gallon (liquid US) would therefore = 3.785412 liters.

Thus, at $1.50 a liter, it would be about $5.68 a gallon.

Maybe I should convince my parents to take a plane instead. Though the gas prices will probably affect the ticket price too... and It's probably too late to get a ticket. >_>

And.... I'm not sure how long I'll be gone. But I know we're going to someplace called Victoria. Or something. >_>

Don't fly on a plane, you're better off driving than on a plane.

But I know we're going to someplace called Victoria. Or something. >_>

I haven't visited the Island in years, nice place but it's somewhat isolated from the mainland.

I wasn't kidding when I said I'd do it myself. Oh well, convenience at its finest.

I like howw the current gas price is like a crisis in the US and yet it's cheap compared to other countries.

In the topic I laugh at people who think $1.50 per litre is a lot for petrol. Over here you can find prices at ~£1.20 per litre. That's about $2.40

Tes, that is true, but the economy is different in your country. Last summer, gas was $2.33. Now it's $4.89! At least, in my area... I live near San Fransisco so the prices are crazy here. So are the housing prices.......Heh..

Hmm....

Well, gas prices here are about $3-4.5. =P 'S probably because I live in a small town.

Since Victoria isn't far into "the mainland", I'll just average out the price for gas into the U.S. amount.

Miles: 877.06 (1411.491 km)
Miles per gallon: 20 (32.1868 km)
Gallons of gas needed for trip: 43.853 (166.00166296375198 liters)
(I obviously used a calculator. I hate putting my brain to use during summer vacation.)
Average gas price per gallon of CA and WA: $4.468
Which totals to: $195.94

Not that bad. ^-^

Wow... thats a lot for gas.
But I supposse if you've been planning the trip for a while,
then you planned for gas, too...
I guess it's actually not bad if you consider the distance.
And definately cheaper than a plane!
