Quick Reply

I and I'm sure many other people would agree that it'd be nice to have a box at the end of a topic to reply in, with just a post/preview button, nothing else rather than having to wait another 10 minutes for the reply page to open.

Quick Reply is well, really bad. You might as well click Reply and post something there. Quick Reply doesn't has the full feature of Reply so I don't see the point.

In defence of that...
- Because of the massive lag that TPC has sometimes; it'd be a pain to open another window.
- It can be coupled with javascript so it doesn't take up page height
- It's more convenient as you can just scroll up and see previous posts rather than using a fiddly iFrame
- If you want to use emoticons and can't remember the code, fine, but most people with brains can remember them.

EDIT: posting in this topic causes your name to be pink! all the more reasons to post your opinions ^_^

I once tried to implement a quick reply modification but it screwed the forum up... so I did try this once but it didn't work, if enough people want it thought I could always try a differet quciky reply mod, there's tons out there

In defence of what you just said...
-There might be some lags, but that's only when the server load is high, most of the time it is very low
-If that's the case why not make posts so that you can open or close them with the wonder of Javasrcpit?
-You aren't too lazy to click on reply, right?
-You don't get full features with Quick Reply
-Lots of people don't have brains! Like Peter Griffin or some guy.
-Quick Reply will just make the loading the the page slower...

-If that's the case why not make posts so that you can open or close them with the wonder of Javasrcpit? why not go and make a post for that then
-You aren't too lazy to click on reply, right? no, I'm just annoyed at the time it takes to load it up
-You don't get full features with Quick Reply if you have been on the forum for more than one day then you already know BBcode off by heart. It can also be turned off in profile
-Lots of people don't have brains! Like Peter Griffin or some guy. no.comment.
-Quick Reply will just make the loading the the page slower...what'd you rather have? around 50 bytes of form and submit code, or around 15kB of page. For those that use it it's saving loads of b/w

-If that's the case why not make posts so that you can open or close them with the wonder of Javasrcpit? why not go and make a post for that thenCause that feature is stupid
-You aren't too lazy to click on reply, right? no, I'm just annoyed at the time it takes to load it upIt only takes 3.290 to load the reply page
-You don't get full features with Quick Reply if you have been on the forum for more than one day then you already know BBcode off by heart. It can also be turned off in profileSome people are stupid, but I already know BBCode so I don't care

For those that use it it's saving loads of b/w pfffft... The Pika Club has lots of bandwith and FYI the reply page has 58kb while this topic has 61 kb.

You obviously can't accept that TPC lags badly on a regular basis, and if no-one is prepared to reply apart from Pikachu90000 and no one is able to make any sensible suggestions this thread is pointless.
