So, let's have thoughts on this conference.
Disappointed on nintendo's lack of console updates?
Happy with the info on Wii music and AC:Wii?

Are we discussing E3 in general or just Nintendo's conference?

If we are only talking about Nintendo's, then it was horrible. I have to admit I'm quite excited about the new Wiimote peripheral that allows 1:1 precision, but to be honest that's what we all expected the controller to have from day one. I'm also looking forward to Wii Sports 2, but only because of the swordfighting feature combined with 1:1 accuracy. Everything else was pretty much a disappointment, though. With the exception of Animal Crossing, Nintendo didn't show off any new games from its franchises which is all the more disappointing as Reggie said there would be things included for their core gamers. Wii Music is alright, but nothing special.

If we're talking about E3 in general, it was still pretty horrible. Microsoft probably had the best showing, but nothing much interested me on their side.

we get this every so often, the 'poor year' - its the year when nobody really has anything big, all the big franchise titles were last year and too soon for any new ones to be announced, as they're just planning them.

Microsoft probably had the best showing, a) for their new dashboard and mii like avatars designed by rare (and look better than mii's) b) gears of war 2... probably bigger than halo 3 right now, so its also probably the biggest title at e3 this year c) stealing Final Fantasy's main series away from its exclusive sony contract.

yeah, there was some good things shown/announced at e3 this year, but mostly it was all pretty low key. Hopefully the tokyo game show will have something bigger announced at it in sept.
