It's an awesome game!
I recommend it to anyone who likes RPGs.
It's different than any other sonic games;
it's a full-out rpg, unlike other Sonic games, which are action/adventure.
Chao are in it, too!
You can eqip chao to power yourself up.
You can also have up to 4 characters in your party,
and they level up and you deafest enemies.
the battle style reminds me of final fantasy x;
it's turn-based, but speed determines turn order/number of turns per round.
For example, against a slower enemy, you may attack 2 or 3 times before it attacks.
It's really, really cool.
The game comes out tomorrow in America; September 30.
Michael and I were lucky enough to be at Nintendo World during a surprise pre-realease.
And we got signed copies, since we were in the first 50 people to get it.
Plus we got exclusive chao by trading with the game director.
It was really awesome;
I even got to talk to the game director.
he told me some tips to get a job as a game designer,
which is what I want to be.
So, yeah. Get the game. It rocks.

I'll get it eventually. I just got Kirby Super Star Ultra, though, so I'll wait for a little bit.

Re: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
i finally started playing this yesterday and i'll say this:
My faith in bioware proves justified.
I know that bioware (the rpg geniuses behind this game) have never really done handheld games before, and that a sonic rpg was not the most brilliant idea for a sonic game when it was announced, but based on thier past, i knew bioware would pull it off and they have - a brilliant rpg, a good battle system, and the past sonic knowledge and history is not ignored while also being enhanced at the same time.
the randomness of the chao's hatching can make the game easier or harder in various parts (i know that if i didnt have one certain chao, i would have lost a lot more battles than i have done.... and had i not had to reset the game to a point just before it hatched, i probably never would have got it).
A great game for sonic the hedgehog and rpg fans alike...

Re: Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
Yeah, it's amazing!
I finally beat it.
You can start over, while keeping your experience and stuff.
But the monsters don't get any harder,
so you end up killing them all in ambushes, 'cept for bosses...
That's where they should have done better on.
If it was a hard mode or something that you could play through,
instead of normal mode with all your power from the end of the game,
it would be so much better, wouldn't it?
Plus it would have been cool to have wi-fi.
But I'm not all about complaints!
The rpg style of sonic was amazing.
And the graphics were awesome.
Plus, the story was intricate and had lots of plot twists.
Overall, it was an awesome game!
