Fishing Tournament

The fishing tournament was held on Sunday from midday (I think) till 6pm. Did you win?

I was winning at first but then I switched off for a few hours and after I came back another villager took the lead with a 46 inch sea bass that I couldn't top, so I lost

42.4 inch sea bass won me the tournament... first time I've actually entered a fishing tournament.... whihc is strange since I love to fish in AC.

Each time you beat the previous record Tortimer gives you a random item as a prize so I was purposely giving him small fish followed by slightly bigger ones to get as many items as possible. Mnagaed to obtain quite a few new items that way

It's a beaver in the Gamecube version but Tortimer in Animal Crossing:Wild World

I've noticed on the GCN game, you tend to get tradeable furniture items (as in you can reorder them) for winning the fishing tourney, which is really nice when you have most of the items, but I rarely enter. ^^;

On ACWW, I didn't enter that fishing tourney because school ate up all my time, but I won every other fishing tourney I entered. I usually entered the largest fish possible, such as a coelacanth, tuna, arapaima (it depended on the season, obviously) and would be pretty much garenteed a win. So you can guess that I have many trophies. =P
