Import Games

Post by WhoKnows_WhoCares »

With the knowledge that they've finally released a freeloader for the Wii allowing you to play any regions game's on a european Wii (make work for other wii's too, the GC version did but i havent had time to see what this one is capable of), the idea of Import gaming came to mind.

I'm wondering how many people have imported a game from another region. Few consoles on the market are region free, but with the DS as one of the minority that is, its very easy to import a game and play it without the need for any additional device or software.

I myself have imported many games. Half my DS collection are American versions, and one is Japanese. Even my Limited Edition Zelda DS lite is imported from the states.

But does anybody else import games, or do you just buy the ones released and made for your country?

I haven't yet bought an import game, except for the Virtual Console, but that's a barely localized import. If Echochrome for the PSP doesn't have a solid release date by October, I'm importing it, because from what I understand, PSP games are region-free, but UMD movies typically aren't. I've already played the demo and still love it from since I heard about it.
