The Restless now at Peace

Narrator: Day before Halloween and the sun were to touch the horizon.

(Bryan, and Faline (now aged 6 & 10) Zoom down the stairs. Both in their Halloween costumes)

Faline: Dad! (Brock’s on the phone) Dad!

Brittany: (on the phone to Brock) Tour is going well, got about three gigs left in the Orange Islands. So then I would be home by Mid-November, by the way Faline wants you.

Brock: what is it Faline?

Faline: (dressed as a beautifly, but without the wings) Daddy, I cannot find my Wings.

Brock: Ok, I’ll help you find them in a mo,

(In Tangelo Island – it’s daytime on Halloween)
Brittany: I’ve gotta go now, have fun at the Party.

Brock: (from the other end of the line) Will do hun, cya (Brittany: Cya (Brock blows a kiss to the phone’s camera, she smiles then Brock puts the phone down) Right Faline, let’s go and find those wings.

Julio: We’ve been invited on a night vigil at that burned down Pokémon center just about ten blocks from here.

Zak: Was that the place that was on fire about 30 years ago?

Julio: Yeah, that’s the place. We’re there with Three Mediums.

((Later that night, they arrive at the burnt center.))

Marah: Jesus, just looking at the place is giving me Goosebumps. (Sees a person at the window, for a brief second) Holy Moses! (Hides behind Julio) I just saw something! At that window there! (Points to the window)

Julio: Marah, you’re seeing things. (The three mediums and few others approach the band) You must be the mediums? (They nod yes) Ok, shall we go in? You guys first. (They split into three groups of three or four)

Brittany: (Brittany looks at the house in a dazed expression, She gets the feeling she’s been here before. She snaps out of her daze. With caution she opens the front door, everything seems to be intact despite the fire. She let out a quiet yet high-pitched yelp as she discovered a dark red stain on the lobby carpet – that was once white. She instantly is hit with a headache; she places her right hand on the center of her forehead.)

Julio: are you alright Brit?

Brittany: (Headache goes away) Yeah I’m fine. Just a delayed effect from the concert last night.

(One of the mediums gets something)

Derek: I’m getting a male, quite muscular. (To the sprit) What’s your Name? John, Johnny? (To the group) Johnny,

Julio: How and when did he die?

Derek: (To the sprit) How did you die? You were shot while defending your wife and two children, in 1987. (He’s drawn upstairs into one of the Children’s bedrooms, he asks the sprit) which room’s this? Your son’s room? Hold on a minute John, (another Sprit joins him, he turns to the group) I’m now joined by a female sprit, (gets a bit of info from Johnny) Ok she’s your Wife, Johnny, ok could you allow her to talk to me? What’s your name, Joy? (The female sprit goes into panic, about her two children) Calm down,

((Night of Halloween, Everyone is in the Boy’s room, around a round table, the table wobbles under the influence of Joy’s panicky sprit, suddenly one of the people around the table becomes possessed with her sprit - Marah))

Marah: (She cramps as the sprit takes over) Where are my children? Where are they? I looked all over the heavens, I can’t find them.

Joseph: (the medium leading the Séance) Joy calm down, the only reason you can’t find them in heaven is that your children have survived, and still alive…

Marah: (as Joy) My children still alive? Where are they?

Brittany: (Remembers something, a dark memory, witnessing her mother being shot to death) Joy, where you a nurse at this Pokémon center?

Joy: (Via Marah) Yes, I gave birth to non-identical twins, one a boy and the other a girl.

Brittany: was your son called Tracy, and the daughter Brittany?

Joy: Yes. And I long to know where my children are, and how they fair?

Brittany: One of them is here at this séance tonight.

Joy: Which one?

Brittany: (Tears dwell in her eyes) It’s I mother…I’m here

Joy: (Leaves Marah’s body and shows herself in a full aspiration, she opens her ghostly semi-transparent arms. John also Shows in a full aspiration beside Joy both standing ) my daughter!? You’ve grown so much. Where’s your Brother?

Brittany: He’s at work in Pallet. He’s fine and well.

Joy: That’s wonderful to hear that you’re well and your brother’s well.

Brittany: Also Mother, Farther. I’m now a married woman and…

Joy: Married, to whom?

Brittany: I’m married to a handsome Pokémon breeder that has been there for me for the past 24 years, we’ve been married for 8 years. He is at home looking after our four healthy and lively children, whilst I am on tour with my band.

Joy: Wonderful that you are living happy lives. All the best on your marriage Brittany, and your Family.

Johnny: Finally, Joy and Me can put our troubled souls in peace. Take good care of yourself, your brother and your family.

Brittany: (Tears falling down her face, splashing onto the table) I missed your guidance so much the past 30 years, I still remember some of the great times. Even though my brother and me were only very very young then, but still, I remember – only just about.

Joy: We know the you and your Brother have missed us a lot, but now your farther and I must go over the veil and be in peace. But we will come by to see how you’re doing. But we’ll always love you, Tracy and your family.

Brittany: (Whispers as Johnny and Joy’s aspirations fade away) Goodbye mother, father. Godspeed to both of you. (They’ve gone – the séance ends.)

(Mid-November. Brock and the four children (Faline, Bryan, Jasmine and Jason) await in the arrivals lobby for the plane to come in.)

Bryan: When’s mom’s plane coming?

Brock: Soon…(He looks out of the window, the plane had just landed) Very soon Bryan.

(Ten minutes Later, Brittany walks from the arrival’s terminal, and approaches her awaiting husband and four children)

Bryan & Faline: (Hugs Brittany) Mommy!

Brock: The kids missed you a lot, and so did I. Welcome home. (he kisses her on the lips)

Brittany: It’s always great to be home.

(As they leave the Viridian Airport, when they reach the parking lot, Faline stops and looks up to her left. Looking at the clouds, she becomes amazed the she spots an Articuno flying through the clouds)

Faline: (In amazement) Mom…Dad…I just saw a Rare Pokémon fly by those clouds (points) there.

Brock: (smiles) You’re not the only one I know that seen a rare one.

Faline: Really?

(From High above in the clouds of heaven, Johnny and Joy watching and smiling down proudly over them.)
