Excursions of Extraterrestrials

Prologue

Hello! My name is Larissa, and along with my two friends, Michael and Natasha, I want to put an end to the human race.

Now, you may be wondering why three fifteen year old teenagers would want to do such an absurd thing to their own race. (Well, actually, Michael is fourteen.) Well, although we may resemble humans, we're actually not. We come from an incredibly powerful species of creatures that have control of the entire multiverse. For those of you pathetically ignorant human beings who have no clue what a multiverse is, it is a cluster of many different universes, to express the basic point. If you don't know what a universe is, however, you're in big trouble, for even an idiot could define it.

What sort of creatures are we, then? One could say that we resemble an amalgamation of human and cat, with some extra parts from various other species, in our True Forms, called Kazians. Our race is both beautiful and deadly at the same time. Kazians walk erect, like humans, and have five toes and fingers on each limb, each with a sharp claw, and we have a third eye placed vertically in the middle of our foreheads. In addition, as humans do, Kazians have one nose and mouth, placed the same way, and we have legs like a human, double jointed, and so are our first set of arms. However, there exists a second set of arms on a Kazian, set directly under the first, where the humans have their ribs. A Kazian's ears are like a cat's, and we have a cat like tail. Actually, two tails, identical to each other, and we can mobilize these tails at will to move wherever we want them to. Both tails end in a sharp blade, shaped differently for each individual. A Kazian also has four wings, placed on the back between each set of arms. Female's wings are more bat-like, whereas male's wings are more like birds. Cat-like fur covers our entire bodies, and we have no human-like hair whatsoever.

Although there are male and female Kazians, our genders only determine the sex of our transformations, since Kazians do not reproduce as earthen life does. You see, at any one time, exactly seven hundred and seventy seven Kazians exist, since when one dies, a new one is formed from the old one's energy, like a phoenix. Unlike phoenixes, however, Kazians live forever unless killed by an outside entity. Some of our people have seen the beginnings of time. Michael, Natasha, and I however, are the same age in both human and Kazian forms, due to an extremely rare series of events that killed our past three forms.

We are currently in our human forms, however, and although we can switch between any figures we choose whenever we want, it tends to be much easier to put an end to a particular race if you "blend in," as Homo sapiens say. My human structure, as all my other forms are, is female. I am about average height and weight, with short cut blonde hair, electric blue eyes and fair skin. Michael is male, average height and weight, and has short light brown hair, deep brown eyes, and light skin, whereas Natasha is a female of average height, and has a somewhat emaciated figure with short blond hair, profound blue eyes, and gaunt looking shin that wraps around a slightly pointed nose. Still, she manages to look more alluring than most humans I have seen. We all have "white" skin, as humans call it, although it seems peachier to me, since that seems to be the predominant color in the state of New Jersey, which is a place in an anomalous country they call the United States of America.

We choose to subsist in this peculiar, severely overpopulated country because its diverse culture and ideals provide observations of all different deviations of the human race. After all, if we are able to understand our prey, then it will become a great deal easier to eliminate it.

Chapter One

One day, a dark-suited man with black sunglasses entered our classroom. He quickly flashed some kind of identification card to our teacher, Mrs. Cotter, and prepared himself to speak to the class.

The class was generally a bright, sunny room filled with the chatter of thirty-one eager-faced teenagers, but everything seemed to freeze at the presence of the official-looking man in the suit. Everything was silent.

Michael, Natasha, and I froze, too, but for a different reason. We didn't care about the authority he emanated. I nodded to the two of them, confirming their fears. I had picked up a stray thought, proving that he was from the place the humans have titled the "Federal Bureau of Investigations," or "FBI" for short, the division called the "Control of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence Center," to be specific.

The man was very brief, and soon brought us to the main point of his visit.

"I am from the FBI, and have come to confirm suspicions of Extra-Terrestrial life living among you. Our investigations have pin-pointed the location of three known Extraterrestrial forms that have been causing us quite a lot of trouble recently. The three are currently in this classroom. However, we do not know which three you are. My subordinates and I shall escort you now to the cafeteria to run some tests."

Two more men in dark suits and shades entered the room, right on cue. One was white-skinned, like their leader, and the other had coco-brown colored skin. All three were bald.

The three slowly escorted the entire class to the cafeteria. The agents did not miss a thing. They made us walk in two straight lines. Everyone obeyed, since they were paralyzed with fear. It therefore became impossible for even one of us to escape without them noticing, and if we did manage, it would be obvious that we were the "Extra-Terrestrial" beings he spoke of. It was evident that this walk itself was a part of the so-called "tests" we'd be taken.

Let's just hope that the supreme one taught us enough to evade these elite "alien-hunters."

I would also like to take this time to point out how rude terms such as "aliens" and "extra-terrestrials" are. I mean, so what if we are from a different planet? We are still currently living on this earth, even if just to study it. We are still legal citizens, even if the customs officials did not notice we were of a different species. It's quite rude, you know.

The cafeteria loomed ahead.

"I wonder what they will attempt to do to us," pondered Natasha.

"You can never tell with humans," replied Michael.

"I hope we can fool them, whatever the trials are," I whispered.

“Alright, listen up!â€￾ the leader of the agents commanded. “First up, we will be issuing a quick, simple blood test. Line up, please!â€￾

I gazed around in mild wonder and intrigue at the assembly of “high-techâ€￾ machinery they had set up around the cafeteria. I admired the fact that they had been able to drag all these bulky apparatuses in here. They truly were primitive creatures. However, these were nearly not as archaic as the common man’s appliances. If the government actually decided to share their technology with the general public, then the world would surely be much more advanced, and perhaps intelligent enough to avoid not being obliterated.

“They certainly are… simple machines.â€￾ Natasha commented.

“Hmph,â€￾ Michael snorted in reply. “Yes, that may be, but they still have the potential to cause some problems involving out mission: to not be discovered.â€￾

“That’s true,â€￾ I responded. “Would you like me to disable them?â€￾

“No, we don’t want them to become even more suspicious. More than likely, these are top-secret equipment models used only by the FBI. Not many humans would even know what these are, let alone be able to deactivate them, especially since there’s probably a ton of security measure that would hinder a human.â€￾

“Yeah,â€￾ Natasha piped up. “They’re always so strict and confined. Our new technology would be shared with the world!â€￾

“Yes,â€￾ I concurred. “However, you must take into account that humans are never as trustworthy as Kazians. They would use it to steal, cheat, and do all kinds of undignified things.â€￾

“Of course.â€￾ Michael agreed. “What else would you expect from primates?â€￾

“Hold up.â€￾ I had just realized something of great significance. “They’re checking our blood, correct?â€￾

Natasha’s and Michael’s eyes widened, both coming to the same realization I had. We all looked at each other.

“Please tell me one of you knows the DNA construction of human blood!â€￾ Michael said desperately.

We both shook our heads ‘no’. Neither of us had recently used the internal structure of humans. You see, we can morph our DNA at will, allowing us to change our appearance whenever we choose. Usually, though, only an outer appearance will suffice.

“Here,â€￾ I offered. “Why don’t we simply copy the blood from the guy in front of us? All we’d need to do is change its structure a bit.â€￾

“Good idea!â€￾ commented Natasha. “I’ll get it.â€￾ She tapped the kid in front of us on the back. As he turned, she caught his eyes and glared into them, putting the child into a trance. She has the unique power to do this, just as I can listen to thoughts. Then, she turned her fingernail into a claw, piercing the boy indiscreetly on the arm, drawing a small dot of blood. We each touched the blood, registering its DNA sequence. The FBI agents didn’t see a thing, for Natasha had also put her power over space into effect, creating the illusion that nothing odd was going on.

As she undid the trance, the kid was called up. We were the last three left, lingering near the end of the line.

“You!â€￾ The guy called over Natasha as the previous human left. Michael and I had our fingers crossed.

‘Please let it have worked,’ I thought.
