As the trainers started to arrive, Jess saw a male officer, dressed in the plain blue uniform that every police force in the pokemon world wore, come out of the building. He sharply blew a whistle to get everyone's attention.
"Everyone report to the main lobby! You will wait there until the whole group is present!" He bellowed, moving to the side of the door to stand guard for any more trainers. He released a Growlithe, which sat beside him and remained as still as a statue.
"Char, charmeleon char." Well, that was really subtle. Quetzal muttered so only Jess could hear him, and she nodded in agreement.
"Let's just get inside. It's getting a bit cooler out here." Jess commented as a gust of wind blew through the courtyard. She shivered a tiny bit, then headed for the door with Quetzal behind. At the entrance to the door, though, the officer stuck his hand out and stopped her.
"Return your pokemon, miss. Pokemon outside of their pokeballs are not allowed inside the building." He ordered, receiving a growl and some very violent threats from Quetzal in pokespeech.
"Why? I see other pokemon inside there running around." She asked, after Quetzal had run out of threats and started to growl at the Growlithe.
"Yes, but those pokemon have special shoes on to protect the floors. I do have a couple of extra pairs on hand-"
"CHAR-MELEON!"
"Queztal! Watch your language!" Jessica scolded before returning him to his pokeball. She quickly entered the building, to keep from holding up the other trainers. A couple of steps inside, she looked around.
The lobby's floors were tiled with a shining, blue-grey tile, and had walls and a ceiling to match. On the far wall stood a curving reception desk stretching about three meters(almost 10 feet) in the middle. Three receptionists sat behind black, flat-screen computers, each with a cordless black phone beside it. On either side of the desk was a blue door, along with one behind the desk. Beside the doors were two silver elevator doors, each one having the TPPF's symbol on the door.
To the right of the door was another double-door in the middle of the wall, this one glass and silver, along with a waiting area in the corner near the front door. The area consisted of two blue couches against the wall, with a round silver end table in the corner between them, a blue loveseat with an end table on either side, and two rounded blue chairs with an end table between them. On the corner end table and the end table between the chairs were various Pokemon magazines, along with the IPPF's magazine, the Police Tribune, which gave news updates of events around the world.
To the left of the front door were about five blue doors, each with a silver plaque labeling them, and two silver doors that led to the bathrooms. The wall where the front door was located was made entirely of special glass, which was made to be bullet-proof, fire-proof, and last through the most severe storms. All around the room were small pokemon pictures in silver frames hanging on the walls, perhaps used to lighten the mood a bit. There was also a security camera in each corner, small red lights blinking as they kept a vigilant watch over the lobby.

Hubert had finally arrived, with him, a letter. "C'mon Hubert! We're already for the gym! We were just waiting for you!" The shuppet rolled it's eyes and handed her the letter. "This better not be long..." she said as she tore the top and took the two slip of paper inside. She read aloud the following:
"You have been chosen to be part of an elite force, handpicked to eradicate the current situation involving the five criminal teams of Rocket, Magma, Aqua, Galaxy, and Cipher. As you may have heard, their little dispute has interferred with public safety. You and nine others will make up this team, and you all will report to- Heh. As if."
Caitlin rolled the piece of paper into a ball and tossed it into a nearby garbage can. Hubert apparnetly disaproved of this. He made a horrible whining sound. "Augh! Look, Hubert. We're trying to get all the gym badges. We don't have time for this. They'll have 9 other poeple to help them anyway. They don't need us. C'mon. We have a gym leader to beat."
{OOC: Quick! Someone go knock some sense into my character! }

Jessica had gone over to the couch and was reading a copy of "The Pokemon Inquirer" - Giant Snorlax Terrorizes Mt. Battle! Steven Shows His True Colors! Diglett Finally Comes Above Ground! - when the others started to enter. She looked up at each one in turn, absently storing away their names and faces in that filing-cabinet mind. She also noticed that the Munchlax was let in, although her Quetzal wasn't.
Well, he is a fire-type and has a flame always on hand. Jess rationalized, flipping through the pages and pausing briefly at an obviously doctored photo of the "giant snorlax".

"I would've laughed had you run into that." Jessica commented, looking at Andrew over the top of the Pokmon Inquirer. "For one thing, it's large, gold, and very shiny. Second, you would've had the same dumfounded look on your face as you have now."
