You Could Be A TPC Gym Leader

As inspired by the following topic:
http://www.thepikaclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5515
The Pika Club has decided to create its own Pokémon league. While the league itself won't be interactive, and users won't be able to fight against them, we will need your help to create the league.

We need 8 Gyms for our own league. And it could be yours

All we need you to do is submit your idea for your own Gym. We'll give you the information we would like, but you can submit whatever ideas you have for your gym. After we have all the submissions, the Elite 4 (a.k.a. the staff members) will pick the 8 winners and show you our Pokémon League.

For an idea on what we're looking for, here are a few questions you could answer:

What type of Pokémon are you going to specialise in?
What Pokémon would you use?
What attacks would they have? What Levels are they at?
What would you Gym Badge be called?
What Number would your Gym be (e.g 5th Gym)?
What would be special about the gym, what traps or puzzles would it have? (if any)

You don’t have to answer all of those questions, nor do you have to just be limited by them. You can give us any and all information that you want about your Gym. Want to give us what you want to wear, what your badge looks like - go right ahead. The more information the better, but you can still win if you don’t give us loads of information as long as the idea is good.

Don’t worry if someone else says they want fire type Pokémon, if you also want to have a fire gym... this is a competition after all and it's not first come first served. You get to create the Gym you want.

You also don’t have to be limited by Pokémon type. If you want a Steel type gym, have a Steel type. But there are other links you could have your gym on. What about a Gym that specialises in Baby Pokémon, or Pokémon that have two types. Pokémon with a ‘Pressure’ ability, or ones that can learn the different types of punches (Thunderpunch, Fire Punch, Mach Punch etc). As long as there is a common link between the Pokémon, you can pick whatever you want.

The 4th Generation of Pokémon (I.E. those from Diamond and Pearl) may be included in your squads. If you are giving us 4th gen Pokémon that currently do not have English names, please supply us with their National Dex number to make our lives a little easier.

A couple of rules in order to make this as realistic as possible:
1. Try to make your Pokémon's level (if you’re supplying them) about the level you would expect for your gym number (if you’re supplying that)
Please be aware that if you and someone else pick the same Gym number, that doesn’t mean we have to chose one or the other. We may well chose both, and adjust both the gym number and Pokémon levels to match. So while you are supplying this information, it is just a guide that we will try to stick to.

2. If you’re supplying Moves for your Pokémon, you can have any move that the Pokémon is able to learn. It doesn’t matter if they learn it by levelling up, TM, breeding or move tutor, as long as they can learn the move. You also don't have to worry about the level of a Pokémon matching the level of a move it learns. You can have a level 10 Bulbasaur that knows Razor Leaf, despite not learning it until level 20

3. When picking your Pokémon for your team, you may pick multiples of the same Pokémon for your team. But don’t go overboard. We will unlikely pick a gym that has 6 Pikachu in a squad, but we would consider a gym with 2 Pichu, 2 Pikachu and 2 Raichu

4. While the first few Gyms only have 2 or 3 Pokémon in their squad, we will not look bad upon any gym that uses all 6 Pokémon. So you may have any number of Pokémon (maximum of 6) regardless of if you’re Gym 1 or Gym 8

5. You may enter more than one suggestion for a Gym. However, since the username will be the name of the Gym Leader, and Gym Leaders can’t run more than one Gym at a time, you can only win one of the 8 Gym lists. But you can come up with lots of ideas, if you wish.

6. No Legendary Pokémon can be used in your squad. Since the definition of Legendary Pokémon has been in dispute (even in The Pika Club) the staff have created a list with the Pokémon you barred from use.
Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regiice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Raquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Yukishii(480), Emuritto(481), Agunomuu(482), Diaruga(483), Parukia(484), Hiidoran(485), Regigigas(486), Giradina(487), Kureseria(488), Fione(489), Manaphy(490), Darkrai(491), Sheimi(492), Aruseus(493)
Any Squads that include any of those Pokémon will have it removed from the squad.

7. You cannot be disqualified from this competition. If there is info missing that we need, or things that need to be changed due to violation of the above rules, you will either be asked to change it yourself or informed that the staff will be doing it.

Now that you know all this, you’ll probably want to know how to enter. Well you can reply and post your Gym ideas and info in this topic. You have a month to get your entries in… on the 11th of February this competition will end and we will not accept any more entries.

Not only will you be a Gym Leader in the Pika Club’s Pokémon League, we’ll be creating a page on the main site with all your Gym’s info. We’re also offering Pika Points to all the 8 winners as well.

So get thinking and get creating. We only want the best Gyms for our Pokémon League. So get thinking, get creating and get entering.

Edit: Could we please leave this thread for submisions only... no comments. Anything other than a submission will be deleated. Also can we have 1 reply per submission... We will allow double posting in this thread alone as long as the submissions are different.

Well, this should be interesting.....*puts on my thinkin' cap and gets to writin'*

My first entry will be for an idea I posted originally on the thread that was linked at the top of the previous post. It is a Fire-type gym, lucky number 8 out of the gyms. My badge would be the Pyro Badge, or Pyro Crest if the badges can be re-named in such a manner. To get to me, they'd have to correctly answer a series of fairly difficult pokemon questions, and if they missed one, they'd either fall down a trapdoor into a trainer or be launched into the air and through a hole in the roof, landing outside. Either way, they'd have to start over at the first question, which will be different from the previous time they tried it. My team would be as follows:

Magmar: Lv. 49
-Flamethrower
-Fire Punch
-Sunny Day
-Confuse Ray

Ninetails: Lv. 49
-Flamethrower
-Will-O-Wisp
-Confuse Ray
-Safeguard

Blaziken: Lv. 50
-Blaze Kick
-Fire Punch
-Slash
-Mirror Move

Houndoom: Lv. 51
-Flamethrower
-Faint Attack
-Smog
-Odor Sleuth

Flareon: Lv. 52
-Flamethrower
-Bite
-Fire Spin
-Quick Attack

Charizard: Lv. 53
-Flamethrower
-Slash
-Wing Attack
-Metal Claw

I would start an element gym I would use most elements. I want my gym to be number 3 with pokemon levels 22-28. My badge would be the element badge and to earn it you will have to pass though traps on the floor, the floor would be black like the Ecurtaek gym in pokemon crystal, gold, and silver if you fall you start over or beat a trainer either one. The gym is special for its pokemon because they will have different attacks.

My pokemon to use are:

Dratini lv 22
Tackle
Leer
Double-edge
Protect

Graveler lv 28
Tackle
Rock Throw
Magnitude
Selfdestruct

Tangela Lv 26
Tackle
Leech Life
Razor Leaf
Sleep Powder

Voltorb LV 28
Charge

Screech

as you can see my gym uses four pokemon because those four pokemon would be perfectfor a good battle

any trainer who wants some come get some!!

an end where theres no currents. Then you just keep on walking till you
fingd another current. You never know, you can be pulled back to the
begining or you might be pulled to the end. And if you beat the gym
leader, you get the Aqua Badge.

Heres my pokemon team

I inspired something! I think that's the first time I've ever done that! :D *feels good about self* Prepare for many, many gyms to look through. ;)
I've given it some thought, and I thought it would be pretty cool to run an Ice-type gym. With the adored The-floor-is-icey-so-you-will-keep-moving-until-you-bump-into-a-wall-or-rock type maze. You know the ones. They're very common in any game. ;) 5th Gym Leader. Snowflake Badge.

Pokemon:
#1 Snorunt: lvl 28
Powder Snow
Hail
Double Team
Protect

#2 Snorunt: lvl 28
Icy Wind
Headbutt
Leer
Hail

#3 Piloswine: lvl 33
Ice Beam
Dig
Hail
Endure

#4 Sneasel: lvl 30
Screech
Fury Swipes
Ice Punch
Hail
Gym#: 2
Type: Grass
Badge: Sunflower Badge
Gym Layout: Well, the first ones are usually pretty simple. Pretty much, it's a forked road with two rooms to enter. Both rooms have two trainers for you to battle each. If you beat the room you've chosen, then you can go on to the gym leader.

Pokemon:
#1: Shroomish: lvl 13
Charm
Headbutt
Bullet Seed
Stun Spore

#2: Cacnea: lvl 13
Leech Seed
Growth
Absorb
Fury Cutter

#3: Sunflora: lvl 16
Growth
Razor Leaf
Bullet Seed
Leech Seed
Edit- I'm very surprised to find so many pokemon in the levels 51-60 for any gym, considering that the highest level gym pokemon to this date id Giovanni's level 50 Rhydon. -.- Anyways... :P

Gym#: 1
Type: Poison
Badge: Needle Badge
Gym Layout: hmm... I'll just draw it out.
Image*snickers slightly*

Pokemon:
#1: Nidoran (M): lvl 10
Peck
Leer
Poison Sting
Mud Slap

#2: Nidoran (F): lvl 10
Tail Whip

What would you Gym Badge be called?

Badge called: Foru

Image of Bage: Image (I couldn't find anything smaller, but it's the symbol of Fire.)

What Number would your Gym be (e.g 5th Gym)? The 8th Gym

What would be special about the gym, what traps or puzzles would it have? (if any) For my gym traps I'll have about 3 kinda of traps.

Pictures of Gym people

Trainie one (Goru Blast) (Male) :Image

Trainie two (Moru Spin) (Male) :Image

Gym Leader (Jacob Foru) (Male) :Image

My Gym will be about 3 stories high.

I will have one pokemon Trainie on every story who shall only challenge you to a 3 on 3 pokemon match the last story (Who you'll face me at) will be a 6 on 6 pokemon match

There will be a warning sign before you enter the doors to my gym saying this.

"In this gym there will be no turning back, are you prepared to enter?" There will be 2 options if you say no you atumatically turn around if you say yes then you enter the gym.

Once you enter my Gym, The doors collapes and a trainie willl come up to see what is the problem, he will tell you that the only way back out of the gym is if you go and face the mighty Gym owner Jacob Foru to gain access to the gym elevator exit the gym, but he says that you can't pass until you get through all of the trainies and the gym leader.

The Trainie introduces him-self and says that his name is Goru Blast and he's one of the new staff members of the gym, he will agree to him for a 3 on 3 pokemon dual.

Here are Goru Blast's pokemon:

He says that you have to go through before the walls spit fire out at you, he said if the fire hits you you won't get burned you will just atumatically teleport back to the entrance of the gym.

Once you get pass the floor on the first floor you go up the stairs and you will see another obstacle course, you have to dodge all the fire coming up from the ground, you can tell if a fire is coming up when you see the floor square starting to turn red, if you get hit by a fire coming from up the ground you will get teleported back to floor one, but don't worry, once you defeate a trainie you don't have to battle him again.

Once you get past the obstacle on floor 2 you will be greeted by the last trainie who you'll meet in that gym,He will say that his name is Moru Spin and he will agree to a 3 on 3 pokemon dual.

These are Moru Spin's pokemon:

The Last obstacle course you will face will be even tougher, you have to go through fire coming out of the walls and fire coming out of the floor.

Once you get through the floor you will be greeted by a gym leader known as Jacob Foru. He will not talk that much and will say that he spent his entire life searching for rare fire pokemon. He will agree to a 6 on 6 battle with you. (His pokemon are located on the top of the post, but if you don't feel like seing the top post here they are)

Maybe a flying-type gym. You would have to ride little clouds to get from place to place, and hope you don't fall off or the cloud dosn't evaporate. 7th gym. (The last movie I saw was 'Castle in the Sky', so flying appeals to me right now.) Badge: Aria Badge

First of all you have to choose a path between 3 doors 1 leads to a trainer, one leads to an empty room, one leads to a trap where you have to to go outside. There are more doors where you have to choose from, each wrong move puts you back at the beginning. There are 5 trainers and 6 correct door. It's like Norman's but without extra trainers.
