Diamond N00b here. Asking for help!

^_^' Well I need some help. I have Diamond and I cant seem to find the bike. Does anyone know? I need it/apperantly/ to get to the second gym.

no, you dont need a bike to get to the second gym, but you get it around there. after beating the gym, you'll be able to use cut outside of battle, you head up to the big building at the top of gym 2's town (eternia) and rescue the bike owner (or its his kid, cant remember) - then you'll get a free bike for the save
