How do i catch up to mespirit everytime i git near she flies away and is it possible to catch Azelf without a masterball

You can catch any pokemon, legendary or not, without the aid of a masterball - its just some are harder than others to catch. So yes, you can catch Azelf without a masterball.

There is a poketech application called the Marking Map. You get it from the poketech building in Jubilife City after winning the 3rd Gym badge... That tech app will track pokemon that roams the lands, like Mesprit... either that or you could walk around Sinnoh and hope you get lucky

well i have that but when i get near him it just runs and when i do catch up to it i try using a ball but i just ends up excaping and fleeing

A pokemon with a move like Block will stop the pokemon fleeing. Also an abilty like Arena Trap will do the same job. Try one of those

so i do i have to find them or is there a place to buy them

or do it the old fashion way hit it every time you find it before it leaves and when you have it down to red then just keep on throwing balls at it until its caught

yah but it keeps running away. i have the same problem, i have a dugtrio with arena trap and they still run away.

the Arena Trap ability wont work on flying types or those with Levitate... unfortuantly Mesprit has levitate. You could try to train a fast pokemon with Mean Look, that should work...

The problem with hitting it once before running away is, doesnt it heal itself between battles?

i dont think it heals cause i once hit the cresselia , and the next time we met it had the same health as before.

yeah, as long as it's faster than mesprit, it'll lock it in place. Fastest pokemon i can think of that can learn mean look is a Zubat/Golbat... they learn mean look at level 29/33 repectivly. you also should be able to get your hands on a zubat fairly easily.

A really good way to prevent them from fleeing is capture a Wobbuffett and train it so it won't faint when you battling one of those 2.

Yeah, i thought about a Wobbuffet but with no attacking moves, i didnt think it was worth a shot. Locking it in place with Mean Look will allow you to keep switching to whatever pokemon you think is best to battle meprit to get its health down... where as in order to keep mesprit traped with Wobbuffet, Wobbuffet has to stay out for the entire battle.

ill just try and capture a zubat.
