Missingno. = Uxie?
I made a rathrer weird discovery! Missingno. = Uxie!
In the Pokedex description it says something about erasing peoples minds when it opens it eyes (or something along those lines..) Umm... let me think about about other Pokemon that can do that....
Missingno. !
Does Uxie = Missingno. ?
Does uxie hatch out of Bad EGGs?
How many licks does it take to get to the Totsie Roll in A Totsie Roll Poop?
The world might never know...

It's probably just a coincidence.
With 493 legit pokemon, there's got to be one that resembles missingno.

When has MissingNo ever been said to erase people's minds when its eyes open?

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
No idea. *shrugs*
So many rumors go along with it, apparently.
Basically, all Missigno was was a placeholder inserted so the game didn't crash
if the RYB games attempted to access an invalid Pokemon ID.
The glitch to get it is caused when, by talking to the guy in virdirian,
the trainer's name is inserted into the RAM that typically stores Pokemon data for an area.
Cinnabar Island's glitch is that there's no Pokemon data for it;
therefore, it takes the RAM from the last area you went to.
Well, one of those data pieces is your name, if you talked to the guy.
Because there's no Pokemon who's code translates to your name,
missingno comes up so the game doesn't crash.
That's also how Pokemon such as mew can be found there in certain circumstances;
part of your name code translates to those pokemon's code numbers.
It's also partially why the higher than normal level strange pokemon come there during the glitch,
such as Kabutops, Aerodactyle, Mewtwo, etc.
It's not a real "missing" pokemon or anything;
just something put in to prevent the game from crashing.
Very clever, pokemon game designers are! ^_^

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Ok then, so does Uxie hacht out of Bad EGGS(sorry but that how it diplays it in the game.)?
Bad eggs delete you data when hachet. Uxie might have opend its eyes and erased your mind (urmm...data?)

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Last I checked, Uxie does not erase minds.
And more than likely, nothing hatches from them, which is why they crash your games.
They're not supossed to be in the game, so whatever's supossed to come out,
isn't registered in the game's memory, so it doesn't know what to do and crashes.
Games are basically computer chips; if something's not in their programming, it's not happening,
and results in a crash, unless the programmers put in something to counteract that [like missingno].

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Uxie's Diamond Pokédex entry:
Known as "The Being of Knowledge." It is said that it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes.
So it CAN erase minds...
If pokemon was a real world, then two things wouldnt exist in it... those two things are Missingo and Bad Eggs
So no, there is no relation to them in anyway shape or form... if there was, dont you think they would have officially been included into the NORMAL (i.e Non-Hacked) games?

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Oh, I see. I have Pearl, not Diamond. <_<
I really should look those things up online next time-
I forgot that diamond and pearl have different entries.
And yeah, missingno and Bad eggs are not technically part of the pokemon world.
Yes they are in the games, but just as things to prevent further problems, such as freezing in missingno's case.
I'm sure there's a similar reason for the bad eggs, as well.

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Bad eggs were added by nintendo to punish people from hacking the game basically...

Re: Missingno. = Uxie?
Really? I suppose that makes sense, too.
Game designers are jokesters like that sometimes.
Actually, i notice a lot of little things in games they put in as little fun quirks and stuff, too.
I wouldn't put it past them to do a sort of 'joke' thing like the bad egg, purposely.
Missingno was certainly an interesting addition.
To think, they actually programmed something as quirky as that.
